| >> About the Game |
  >>TOW:RM is the latest to be released of the Tales of the World series. Like some of the previous TOW games, the characters of the other Tales Series games are present. Despite the fact that not a single Tales of the World game has been localized for an international release, this particular one has been officially localized (hurrah!). And the good news is, all the skits in this game will be dubbed in English, which is a sure treat for all Tales fans who wanted the Tales of the Abyss skits to be voiced^^.
The game features a unique system wherein you create and customize your own character (customizable looks and everything^^) and have him/her advance in various job classes.
The game uses the Flex Range Linear Motion Battles System, the same LMBS being used for Tales of the Abyss.
The opening song is Hikari to Kage (Light and Shadow) by Kana Uemura, and the main theme song is Kamihikoki, sung by the same artist. The US version has an instrumental version of the opening song. |

  >>The ancient kingdom of Terresia is at the brink of annihilation because of the activities of the Devourer, a demon from another planet. Because of these continuous attacks, the World Tree itself which created this land is slowly dying. Using it's remaining energy, the World Tree gives birth to the final hope of Terresia, YOU. With the help of a mysterious amnesiac girl you meet, as well as the characters from the other Tales games, you set out on your journey to fulfill the mission given to you by the world tree. YOU, are the last hope of mankind... |

  >>This game is one of a kind. May I say that this is the best TOW game as of late? Anyway, aside from the story line being a bit... cliche, I have no other qualms whatsoever about it. For one thing, the opening video may be short, but it's A WHOLE LOT better than Tales of the Tempest's. You'll find various elements of the game quite similar to Tales of the Abyss'. An example would be the Flex Range Linear Motion Battle System, as well as the voiced skits we all know and love.
Gameplay is excellent. Actually, it's exactly the same as that of Tales of the Abyss, but the FR-LMBS IS said to be the best Battle System of the Tales up to date. The fact that you can create and customize your own character is already a big thing for gamers. The new character class system may also be a bit cliche, but it brings additional excitement to the gameplay. Interacting with the other Tales characters is also a big treat, rather than just talking to them in Tales games such as Tales of Fandom.
Graphics are sort of a combination of Abyss' 3D graphics plus Legendia's lush coloring scheme. This game can actually be mistaken for a PS2 game^^. It's real fun to see those characters that weren't made in 3D to be in 3D now, like our favorite Chester and Arche^^.
