>> Evolved Flex Range Linear Motion Battle System
--> ToV's system, derived from Tales of the Abyss' system, now called Evolved Flex Range Linear Motion Battle System (EFR-LMBS), will be of course quite similar to its predecessor. Only little info has been revealed about its system. Recent interviews state that the system will be quite similar to FR-LMBS, with a few changes to some areas of the system plus a few new added elements.
  >> Cores and Field Blastias
--> Since the game revolves around a relic known as a Blastia taken from the gem called the Core, it is a common tool used in battle. Similar to Capacity Cores (Tales of the Abyss) or Exspheres (Tales of Symphonia), equipping a Blastia will help give a boost in your stats, especially when leveling up.
  >> Weapon Synthesis
--> Recent interviews state that a weapon synthesis feature will be available in the game. According to chief director/producer Yoshito Higuchi, this feature will be much more detailed and vast compared to some other games. Materials gathered during the adventure can be used primarily for weapon synthesis. Creating and collecting of new weapons will also be tied to the game's skill system. Some weapons have skills imbued within them, and leveling up with these weapons equipped will help you learn the said skills.
  >> Use of Xbox Live
--> We expected an online multiplayer game, but that isn't the case. The primary known features of the game that will utilize Xbox Live will be an online ranking system for the number of maximum hits or combos in a battle and some mini games. Multiple players will still be available... just not online.
  >> Other Tidbits
--> Compared to before, a single battle can have up to seven or eight monsters, making the game a bit more challenging
--> The other unnamed party members are: the girl who wears glasses and wields a book, similar to Klarth F. Lester from Tales of Phantasia; a young boy who wields a hammer; a dog who seemingly follows Yuri around everywhere. The dog is not just a mascot character, but a full party member. The girl with goggles is knowledgable when it comes to technical matters and ancient terminals, and people like her are rare in their world.
