    >> New Tales of Zestiria Scan - Rose Confirmed Playable and Able To Fuse With Seraphs

    a745

The latest issue of Jump reveals that Rose is indeed a playable character in Tales of Zestiria. Not only that, but she shares the same ability as Sorey.

The scan shows that, like Sorey, Rose is also able to fuse with the Seraphs and enter a Kamui form. Depending on her form, her weapon also changes, but she usually wields two knives. The scan shows her in Kamui form with Mikleo, and it seems that she also wields a bow like Sorey's Kamui form with Mikleo does.

The scan also reveals new key characters: members of the Wagtail Feathers guild that Rose is a member of. From left to right, we have An Torme (voiced by Yuki Kaji), An Fil (voiced by Ami Koshimizu), Aiguille (voiced by Yasunori Masutani) and Roche (voiced by Mitsuru Miyamoto).

Tales of Zestiria will be released in Japan on January 22, 2015, and in North America and Europe sometime in the future. Pre-orders are now available at the following shops:

    >> Tales of Zestiria Gets Blue Exorcist Collaboration DLC Costumes, Soundtrack Pre-orders Open

    a745

The latest issue of Jump SQ reveals that Tales of Zestiria will be getting Blue Exorcist (Ao no Exorcist) collaboration DLC costumes.

The image is a bit dark and small, but we can definitely make out a Rin Okumura costume for Sorey, a Yukio Okumura costume for Mikleo, a Shura Kirigakure costume for Lailah, and for now, Edna's is too obscure to make out.

In addition, the Tales of Zestiria Original Soundtrack has just been announced and is now available for pre-order at CDJapan. It will be released on February 18, 2015.

Seven weeks left until the release of Tales of Zestiria in Japan!

Tales of Zestiria will be released in Japan on January 22, 2015, and in North America and Europe sometime in the future. Pre-orders are now available at the following shops:

    >> New Tales of Zestiria Scans Introduce Different Types of Dragons

    a745

The latest issue of Jump introduces the different types of dragons in Tales of Zestiria.

The dragons of legend, much like the Hyouma beings, are not visible to normal humans. The scans introduces two types of dragons: Dragon Puppy ( not sure on the spelling, ドラゴンパピー, doragon papii ) and Dragonewt ( ドラゴニュート, doragonyuuto ).

The Dragon Puppy... doesn't really look like a small dragon from the scans, so I'm not sure on our romanization. Maybe when better scans come out.

The Dragonewt seems to be able to wield weapons and fight like a human.

This info on dragons is apparently also on the latest Famitsu issue, but we don't have scans yet.

Tales of Zestiria will be released in Japan on January 22, 2015, and in North America and Europe sometime in the future. Pre-orders are now available at the following shops:

    >> Tales of Zestiria - Subevents and Arena, School Uniform and iDOLM@STER DLC Costumes, Zaveid Possibly Playable

    a745

The latest issue of Famitsu apparently reveals school uniform and iDOLM@STER DLC costumes for the cast of Tales of Zestiria. This includes Zaveid, hinting that he's most probably playable.

The said school costumes contain a hairdo, clothes and attachment set for all 8 characters, including Zaveid and Rose. The costumes are:

    • Sorey - Humanities Student

    • Alisha - Books Committee Member

    • Mikleo - Going Home Club Member

    • Edna - Everyone's Respected Senpai

    • Rose - Captain Girl

    • Dezel - Math Teacher

    • Zaveid - Former Gangster Turned Guidance Counselor

    • Lailah - School Principal

The iDOLM@STER costumes are, obviously, only for the girls. The BGM changes with them equipped and so do intro lines when entering battle. The costumes are:

I think most of us already believe that Rose is most probably playable, given that she has an Evangelion costume and the nature of how she's portrayed in trailers (i.e. in a non-antagonistic way). As for Zaveid, most of us still aren't sure about him being playable, given that he's mostly shown as sort of a bad guy in the past trailers. Seeing as he's even got a DLC costume now (along with some official art showing him just hanging around with the party), this raises the possibility of him being playable.

Famitsu also delves more into the Subevents feature introduced in our last post, and also reveals an Arena for the game. For Subevents, they can be triggered by talking with characters that have a star ( ★ ) mark above them. The map will also indicate a character that would have a subevent, making it easier.

We have no scans as of yet, but we'll update this post as soon as they're available.

Tales of Zestiria will be released in Japan on January 22, 2015, and in North America and Europe sometime in the future. Pre-orders are now available at the following shops:

    >> New Tales of Zestiria Scan Introduces Two New Key Characters and Subevents Feature

    a745

It's never too late to add an old man in, so here's a new scan from Jump introducing two new key characters for Tales of Zestiria.

Mervin ( メーヴィン, meevin ) - man on the right of the scan
    - "The Shepherd has appeared and war's about to breakout? This era sure is moving fast."
    - A veteran explorer that gives advice to the party. He is the owner of The Seraph Records (we previously called it The Divine Records) that Sorey is always reading.

Jiiji ( ジイジ, jiiji) - man on the left of the scan
    - "That child's feelings are straightforward and righteous, that's why I worry about him."
    - An caring but strict elder that raised Sorey and Mikleo in the village of Izuchi. He's scary when he's angry. He protects the village with a powerful lightning barrier.

The scan also introduces Subevents that tell of information you won't find in the Main Scenario, such as your companion's personal matters and happenings in the continent.

Tales of Zestiria will be released in Japan on January 22, 2015, and in North America and Europe sometime in the future. Pre-orders are now available at the following shops:
