>> New ToV Mag Scans + Kane Wo Narashite Rip + ToH Licensed by Namdai US??

a745

Four new scans courtesy of Rpgmonkey for the Official Tales Forum.

EDIT: [RUMOR] According to this article by Silconera, it seems that "Tales of Hearts" has been licensed by Namco Bandai US. I'm not so sure how reliable this information is, so we'll have to leave it as a rumor for now. Another article here from DS Fanboy.

Nothing that new in the scans, except for the appearance of a new villain, you'll see him in the first scan, the girly looking guy with the blue hair. From the katakana, his name is "Cumor" (KUMORRU) Bits and bits of the story are also being shown, like in that same scan, a kid named Ted informs Yuri that the town's Water Blastia has been stolen. Afterwhich, he is able to corner the thief in another house (if you've read the Xbox Magazine scans of ToV we posted before, Yuri broke an entry to chase after said thief), and he calls the thief "Mordio." If you guys can recall, Mordio is the family name Rita uses. Other tidbits include how Yuri meets all the other party members, plus some other villains.

These are also higher quality scans of the scans in the previous post, the ones showing the bunny ears attachment for Rita and the mustache (O_o) attachment for Yuri.

Lastly, we just added a PV rip mp3 of "Kane wo Narashite" over at the Tales of Vesperia Audio Page. Please endure that until we manage to get a hold of the ones from the actual CD ^^;

>> Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Hearts, and Main Site Updates

a745

The Tales of Vesperia Main Site with videos of Burst Artes and Fatal Strikes for Raven and Judith. They've also added a "Countdown Calendar" wallpaper over at the downloads page. You can also get it from our gallery, main links below. If you'll check here, we've added a new commercial for Tales of Vesperia. As expected, "ESTEEELLEE!!!" XD. We've also added this new PV. I'm not sure where it's supposed to be from (found it on NicoNicoDouga), but I think this is one of the Shop PVs. It has Kane wo Narashite playing. Also added a few scans, showing new a rabbit ears attachment for Rita and mustache attachment for Yuri (O_o), and costumes for Karol and Estelle!. Karol's costume is the "Toweller" (that's the Japanese name for Luke's Towel Boy title) and Estelle's is something like "Earnest Medical."

Over at GameTrailers, they added an interview with Dennis Lee, the game's Senior Marketing Manager. He just talks a bit about the game's story, and you'll see some of the opening movie's scenes in the video. According to Namdai, the US release really will be on the 26th of August.

Lastly, from Famitsu, we have a few new updates. For Vesperia, you can watch a video here about the contents of the Preorder Bonus DVD (Tales Channel DVD), and it's looking pretty awesome. For Tales of Hearts, an interview with Hideo Baba and Manabu Koike. Thanks to Rpgmonkey's translation, here are a few important details to point out:

- Game's theme is connection of hearts
- Development of this game has been going on since Winter 2006
- Altogether, the movie scenes would be at around 10 minutes (CG and anime ones separate time)
- That last CG scene in the trailer was actually part of the CG opening
- The touch screen will be used in battle, as well as accessing menus. The mic won't be used at the moment.
- Turns out you can't let your off-battle characters join in a battle, but you can call them for a combination attack, afterwhich they're gone again (think Marvel vs. Capcom)
- The ending will either be a movie or not. They still haven't thought of a final medium.
- Still not clear if the CG and Anime versions will be in one cartridge or not.
- Concept of the battle system would still be quite similar to the old ones. Overlimit gauge, etc.
- Grades will be available. No news yet if there'll be guilds though.
- A character by the name of "Hisui" was being talked about in the interview, but they never did reveal who he's supposed to be.

>> A Look At ToV and ToS-DotNW over at E3 2008 + ToH Site Open

a745
EDITS: *Added one more ToV video from GameTrailers. Check links below.
*Added images from the ToH site here and here

IGN just posted new screenshots of Tales of Vesperia demo from E3, and they've been added here (start viewing the ones with the least views, up until the next pages). The first few ones are actually the only ones from E3. The rest are either from the blog, or some screens we missed.

Screenshots of the Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (English version guys) have also been added over at IGN. We've added them to the gallery here.

Also, Volcynika from YouTube has posted footage of the ToV and ToS-DotNW demos from E3. You'll be able to hear the English voice acting for Emil, Marta and Richter in the ToS-DotNW videos. As for the ToV ones, you'll see some new scenes, Yuri's white-haired evil twin (I'm kidding), as well as hear Raven's English voice ^^/

And I'm glad everyone likes the site's version 3 ^^/ I'll get to finishing it right away.

Edit: The Tales of Hearts official site is open now. They have these really cute sound effects too.

SyphonVectorman
Four websites have been updated at Tales Channel.

For the Tales of Hearts Official Website, a Promotional Video is available to stream in Windows Media Player.

For the Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 2 Official Website, another Promotional Movie is available to stream in Windows Media Player. You are also able to download it onto your computer too. Also, this magazine scan (link fixed) reveals that Kanonno will be back in RM2. It also reveals her last name, Earhart.

In the Tales of Vesperia Official Website, screenshots of the animation movie are now available in Fourth Tab at the Story page -- Fourth link in the Navigation.

Finally, the Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk Producer's Blog reveals information on two books: A Tales of Symphonia: Knight of Ratatosk Complete Guide (Priced at 1,900 yen & released sometime in July.) and a Tales of Symphonia Scenario Book (Already released & priced at 1,600 yen.). Speaking of Symphonia, a Blu-Ray edition of the first four episodes of the ToS OVA will be out on September 26th. Thanks to cutepresea for informing us ^_^/

Edit: For the curious, Site's Version 3 preview. Feel free to critique. See how Yuri's picture is different from the rest of the character pictures we have in the site? That should give you guys an idea of how long it'll take to finish all that XD...

The NA demo of Tales of Vesperia is also out over at the Xbox Live Marketplace. Abandon the PC and run to your Xbox already XD.

Sorry if I can't reveal much, I'm sort of not in the mood/in a rush.

>> Four New ToH Scans from Famitsu + Two New Affiliates

a745

Four new scans from Famitsu reveal a little more info about the game... Actually this info was also in the GPara article in Picup's post, but I already summarized them in the last post.

The main thing to note is that ToH isn't being developed by Team Destiny alone, but apparently a combination of people from Team Destiny and Team Symphonia.

As for the two new affiliates, we're now affiliated with Shrine of Fate, a lovely blog run by Mary Lain (you'll love the layout) and Zelda Dungeon, a massive Legend of Zelda fansite with info, walkthroughs, and more!

... I LOL how this is the image with the highest views in the TotA anime album... XD BTW to those who can help with the subbing (we're serious about it, yes), feel free to volunteer, we'll need all the help we can get. Especially translators, since we can't just let Belmont handle everything on his own.
