    a745

Bandai Namco Games Europe has just announced a Day One Edition for Tales of Hearts R, which includes DLC costumes and a chance to win the limited Collector's Edition.

The Tales of Hearts R Day One Edition includes 3 Tales of Vesperia DLC costumes with Innes as Judith, Beryl as Patty and Kunzite as... Repede.

Those who will get the Day One edition will be included in a lottery to win 1 of 5 limited Collector's Editions, which is actually the Collector's Edition Japan had before. This will be signed by the Tales team, a unique video made by Tales Producer Hideo Baba and a personalized collector's outer case for each winner.

In addition, those who will pre-order at selected retailers will get Tales DLC costumes: Kor as Caius from Tales of the Tempest; Kohaku as Marta from Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World and Galad as Malik from Tales of Graces f.

Visit the Tales of Game website for details on where to pre-order.

At present, there are no announcements on whether the US will be getting the same pre-order bonuses/game editions.

Tales of Hearts R will be released in the US on November 11 and in Europe on November 14, 2014.

    >> New Tales of Zestiria System Trailer And Pre-order Bonus Videos Now Up In HD

    a745

Tales of Zestiria's new system trailer shown during Tokyo Game Show 2014 is now available in HD. We also get to see some videos focusing on the Mystic Arte pre-order bonuses and the rubber straps.

The system trailer shows a bit about the game field, the various actions you can do on the field, finding the Normin creatures, and the battle mechanics themselves. At the end, we get a barrage of Sorey, Alisha, Lailah and Mikleo performing their Mystic Artes.

We also have videos featuring the Mystic Arte pre-order bonuses:

Alisha's is Leia's Soulstoke Celebration from Tales of Xillia.

Mikleo's is Loni's Final Prayer from Tales of Destiny 2.

And Lailah's is Kongwai's Silent End from Tales of Innocence R.

And above is a short animation featuring the pixelated sprite art of the pre-order bonus rubber straps. I'm not sure at the moment if the animation is included as a bonus or just as a thing to introduce the straps.

Tales of Zestiria will be released in Japan on January 22, 2015, and in North America and Europe sometime in the future. Pre-orders are now available at the following shops:

    >> Tales of the World: Reve Unitia - Second Trailer and Nacht Version Commercial Released, Animated Cut-ins

    a745

Tales of the World: Reve Unitia's 2nd trailer shown during Tokyo Game Show is now up, along with a Nacht version commercial. The new trailer also shows that the characters' Mystic Arte cut-ins seem to be slightly animated.

The trailer starts off with a narration of the game's plot by Tern. A few of the Tales characters are introduced, followed by the game system and the Tern and Nacht sides of the game. Near the end, we get a barrage of the characters' Mystic Arte cut-ins, which seem to be slightly animated to make the cut-ins have the characters' eyes blink while the cut-in flashes in the screen.

Above is Nacht's version of the commercial. Tern's version was released before.

Tales of the World: Reve Unitia will be released in Japan on October 23, 2014 for the 3DS. Pre-orders are now available at the following shops: Play-Asia | CDJapan | Amiami | YesAsia

    >> Tokyo Game Show 2014 Tales Stage: Tales of Zestiria Gets Evangelion Collaboration DLC Costumes, Anime Hybrid Disc And More

    a745

The Yappari Tales of Stage event at Tokyo Game Show just ended, and here's a round-up of all the news announced there so far, the highlight being Tales of Zestiria getting Evangelion costumes.

The Evangelion costumes will most probably be available via DLC purchases. The costumes shown were:

    • Sorey as Shinji Ikari

    • Alisha as Mari Makinami Illustrious

    • Edna as Rei Ayanami

    • Lailah as Misato Katsuragi

    • Rose as Asuka Langley Soryu

The Tales of Zestiria TV Anime Special will be premiering on December 31st. More on that here.

A hybrid disc of the Tales of Zestiria game and the TV anime short was also announced, and apparently the price will be the same as the regular game? Availability to be announced.

At the event, they showed a new game mechanics and battle trailer. Above, you can see that the accompanying character on field can be changed, this time showing Mikleo instead of the usual Alisha. Short chats are also available while on this mode. The funny thing about the battle trailer is that they didn't show either Rose or Zaveid in battle.

An animation of what seems to be the Tales of Zestiria pre-order bonus rubber straps was also revealed.

Ordering Tales of Zestiria from 7-Eleven branches in Japan will get you a DLC codes for a 7-Eleven Color Costume for Sorey and a 7-Eleven Themed Recovery Arte. The costume is basically Sorey's outfit in green and red, I think? It's hard to see with the quality of the screens.

Ordering the bargain cheaper versions of Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Graces f, Tales of Xillia and Tales of Xillia 2 as its 20th anniversary collection will also get you a Tales of Zestiria PS3 theme.

Tales of Premium Shops will also be opening around Parco branches in Japan. A schedule of times and branches was given for the Turtlez Shops. There'll be Zestiria-inspired clothing by Putumayo, which is actually what Baba-san's been wearing to the stage. They also showed Zestiria-themed PSN cards.

Finally, the motif of the game menu was shown, along with the status pages of the characters:

Tales of Zestiria is only 4 months away for those in Japan. Do you guys plan on importing the game?

Tales of Zestiria will be released in Japan on January 22, 2015, and in North America and Europe sometime in the future. Pre-orders are now available at the following shops:

    >> Tales of the World: Reve Unitia - Giganto Monsters, Battle Arena, Plus New Videos And Screenshots

    a745

Tales of the World: Reve Unitia will be including Giganto Monsters and a Battle Arena. Also check out these new screenshots and videos of Estelle, Caius, Spada, Loni, Rubia, Cress, Senel and Norma.

Upon clearing the story in some maps, you are allowed to replay through them again mainly to level up the characters. On rare instances, a Giganto Monster may appear when you replay through these fields. They're hard to defeat, but the rewards for defeating them are great.

In the city of the Rufres clan, you can challenge the Arena. You may fight regular Vule monsters here, or you may encounter Vule that are taking the form of Tales characters.

You can earn Skill Points in battle in order to acquire Skills for the Tales characters, which have various effects. You also earn EXP that allow the characters to level up.

Below are screenshots and artwork of Estelle, Caius, Spada and Loni:

And below are videos of Cress, Rubia, Senel and Norma.

    >> Tales of Zestiria Demo, Screenshots, Lalabit Market Edition And More At Tokyo Game Show 2014

    a745

Check out off-screen videos of the Tales of Zestiria demo at the Tokyo Game Show 2014 show floor, along with new screenshots and pictures of the Lalabit Market Japanese Collector's Edition.

Tokyo Game Show 2014 has some amazing Tales of displays, specifically for Tales of Zestiria and Tales of the World: Reve Unitia. For Zesty, there was a display of merchandise for the game, a huge dragon, and the playing areas for the demo.

Apparently, some gaming website owners who were at TGS are calling the Divine "Seraphs" now, which, frankly speaking, sounds pretty cool. We'll stick with that for now till an actual official announcement is made.

Parallax Play has posted a couple of off-screen recordings of the Tales of Zestiria demo. Check them out below:

Bamco had two available demos at TGS, one focusing on the game's story with a boss to fight at the end of it, and one focusing on the battle system which allowed people to roam a vast field and just keep on fighting. In 10:50 minutes in of the second video, you get to see Alisha's Mystic Arte in action, Light Blast ( 翔破裂光閃, Shouha Rekkousen ).

This short video from the scenario demo also shows Mikeo's Mystic Arte, Clearest Rod ( クリアレスト・ロッド, kuriaresuto roddo ).

Famitsu has a few screenshots from the game. Check out their article for the screenshots.

Bamco on the West side also released new screenshots for Tokyo Game Show, though you may find some of them familiar if you've been keeping an eye on our Japanese Tales of Zestiria updates in the past:

On display at the event was a better look at the Tales of Zestiria Lalabit Market Collector's Edition. This time, we actually get to see the Kyun Chara figures in full color:

Speaking of figures, on display were also the Sorey and Alisha figures by Kotobukiya and Alter:

And if you're after the Famitsu DX edition more, then looky, 'cause here's the Normin doll included in that bundle:

Our friends over at Koi-Nya have more pics of the event, so do drop by!

    >> New Tales of Zestiria Famitsu Scans Give More Info On Rose And Some Mystic Artes

    a745

The latest issue of Famitsu Magazine details the newly revealed character, Rose, as well as a few new game plot details and Edna and Dezel's Mystic Artes.

Rose is a member of the merchants guild "Wagtail Feathers" (romaji Sekirei no Hane). She is good at socializing with others and holds her own opinions, but may become unaccepting of unreasonable things. Despite having high "Spirit Powers," she is originally unable to see the Divine, but upon joining Sorey on his journey, Rose's ability to see the Divine began to manifest. It seems that the reason she was originally unable to sense the Divine is related to her past.

Throughout the world, you can find Blessing Divines. Finding them will allow you to ask them for a blessing of some sort, which may benefit you in the game somehow.

We also see a bit of Edna and Dezel's in-game Mystic Artes. Edna's is Venerate Mine while Dezel's is Brutality Whip

One small screenshot in the scans shows Rose in what seems to be either different clothes or different-colored clothes. The screenshot is too small to see.

And in one scan, we see Zaveid with the party as part of an official illustration from ufotable. So, this probably means that he's playable?

    Scans c/o ExeForce87. Thanks!

    >> New Tales of Zestiria Scenario Trailer Reveals More Animated Scenes, New Info And New Character

    a745

Bandai Namco Games Japan has released a new scenario trailer for Tales of Zestiria for Tokyo Game Show 2014. We also get to see colored prototypes of the Sorey and Alisha figures by Kotobukiya and Alter.

The trailer starts off by telling the game's main plot about the existence of "Priests" that grant the people's desires. In this era, the Priest has the power to defeat the "Hyouma" which are the world's impurities in the form of monsters. Later, it is revealed that the dragons feed off the human impurities, and hence, must be destroyed. But as Edna comments in the trailer, "That is, if you can defeat them," they are assumed to be very strong.

It is further hinted in the trailer that, possibly, there may be more than one Priest. Rose's ability to be able to see the Divine and some lines in the trailer seem to hint at the possibility, but we're not entirely sure.

The trailer also reveals a new character, but whether she's friend or foe, we won't know until later. But that color scheme sure yells foe...

A shorter version of this trailer is available below:

In addition, Baba-san has posted via Twitter the colored prototypes for the upcoming Sorey and Alisha figures by Kotobukiya and Alter. They'll be displayed over at TGS, it seems.

Tales of Zestiria will be released in Japan on January 22, 2015, and in North America and Europe sometime in the future. Pre-orders are now available at the following shops:

    >> First Tales of Zestiria Commercial Shows Off Opening Song White Light By Superfly

    a745

Tales of Zestiria's first Japanese commercial is now available, featuring a bit of the game's opening song "White Light" by Superfly.

The commercial mainly shows animated cutscenes of the game, as well as a bit of Sorey's Kamui Mode transformation with Mikleo and Lailah.

At the end of the commercial is the game's Japanese release date, the pre-order bonus straps (you get one random from the four kinds) and the pre-order bonus Mystic Artes. At this point, Baba-san has mentioned in a Tweet that the extra Mystic Artes are Mystic Artes of old characters being performed by Tales of Zestiria characters. So, in essence, they are actually more of extras than anything else.

Tales of Zestiria will be released in Japan on January 22, 2015, and in North America and Europe sometime in the future. Pre-orders are now available at the following shops:
