<Beforehand Words>
The game is made/published by Tales Studio/Namco. As for this FAQ/Walkthrough,
it is based on the Japanese version of "Tales Of The Abyss" that is released on
December 15th, 2005. BTW, this FAQ/Walkthrough could contain spoilers.
As some of you might know, Tales Of The Abyss, Rogue Galaxy, Kingdom Hearts II
and Front Mission V were all coming out in December 2005. I have a huge taste
in Japanese RPGs, so I bought all 4 & did manage to write a FAQ for all 4. But
due to the lack of time, this FAQ didn't cover much and had to get a rush at
the end so I can move on to the next game(Kingdom Hearts II). Regardless, I did
bought the Tales Of The Abyss Official Complete Guide and Tales Of The Abyss
Perfect Guide recently. Thus, I am revising this FAQ/Walkthrough and might as
well replaying the game in Normal Mode. That means this revision will be based
on Normal Mode. If you are wondering, this was based on Hard Mode.

<Battle Rank>
Within Config, you can adjust the Battle Rank. It affects the enemies's stats
and the grades you get. Meaning, the higher the rank, the harder the enemies &
the more grades you can get. You only have Normal and Hard to begin with, then
Mania and Unknown are unlocked when you've cleared the game once. Some enemies
will only use certain moves or Hiougi(Secret Hidden Art) in Hard/Mania and on.
As for the difference, an enemy's stats is 1.5*Normal in Hard, 2.0*Normal in
Mania & 4.0*Normal in Unknown. As for the grades you get, 1.25*Normal in Hard,
1.5*Normal in Mania and 2.0*Normal in Unknown.

Starting up, exit out the room. Head to the eastern house. Within, go south to
a room and you can save your game. Speak with Ramdas within this room.
Now, back track out to the hall. You can explore the north for Apple Gumi and
Lemon Gumi. Anyway, back to your own room. Exit out afterward. Next, go to the
western house. Explore the north for 100 Gald. If you move on to south, you'll
be in the reception room. But before that, go to the eastern house and go north
to find Guy. Anyway, to the reception room.
Exit out to the square. You will enter a tutorial battle. Just follow what Van
says.

<Tataroo Valley>

- Wait at the first map for more than 5 minutes
Tear will join the party. Continue on down to south. A quick battle. Continue
on a bit and save your game. Orange Gumi and Apple Gumi are to the left the get
a move on to the south.
Another quick fight. Go south a bit for the Mantle. Now, go to the upper right
and cross for a Life Bottle and 300 Gald. After, go back and move to the lower
right then cross.
There is 400 Gald within the box near the save point. Save your game. Once you
are ready, ride the horse cart.

When the game prompts you with a choice, pick the second one to walk. You will
be at the OverWorld. Be sure to explore around for blue circles where you can
get items from. Those circles are known as the Search Points and you will need
some luck to get the rare items. The Search Points will also regenerate so you
can check back after some time.
To move on, continue the main road to a bridge. After, cross the bridge. Go on
the main road and pick the left path by the sign.

Head to the near left house which is the Inn. Next, to the north and go left a
bit for a scene. Now back to the Inn. Afterward, enter the Inn for more scene.
Speak with the Inn Owner.
Now, check the back of the north house which is Rose's House. Take that back
door and get the Life Bottle within.

Town Link Point: Angave/Angave + 100
Head to the most western house to speak with a woman, exit out and go to the
near right/windmill house. Check the lower right corner near the door and talk
to that old woman. Afterward, back to the woman in the western house. You will
get the Pasta recipe.
Sub Event #2 - Secret Small Box (Part 1/2)
Check with the man by the Food Shops and take his request.

Sub Event #2 - Secret Small Box (Part 2/2)
Town Link Point: Angave/Angave + 500
Since you just got the Secret Small Box, you can go back to the man by the Food
Shops in Angave. You get the Collector Book in the end.

Now, a path to N and NE. Ignore them and go south then to the left for an Apple
Gumi. Anyway, don't bother with NE since it's a dead end. So, go north for more
scene then continue up. Head to the left next.
Move on to the big tree. Check the apples before the entrance. Anyway, you will
get the Sorcerer Ring. If you need to rest, speak with the elder. Do save your
game. Before you exit out the tree, check the right side for a path to get up.
Exit out from the top right exit for 200 Gald. Now go back & exit out the tree.
Mieu will get Mieu Fire. You can perform that by using Square. Now, go around
the tree from the right. You can get to another area with 500 Gald and Orange
Gumi. To move on, back track to south from the tree.
Don't go to the right yet. Go south then right. Mieu Fire at the root and you
can go through to get the S Flag. This S Flag will allow you to change the On
Screen Character. Anyway, go back track to north and go right to get near the
river for more scene. Shoot the root of the tree to make the bridge.
Now, cross the bridge and move on. Next area, continue on a bit for a scene.
You can now use the Capacity Core from the Menu. Continue to the north, shoot
the root of the tree again. Cross and go left first for a Spectacles then move
into the upper right cave.
Within, as you go down, be sure to shoot the root that is holding on an item.
Continue down, go left for an Orange Gumi and move onto the right. More scene,
grab the Life Bottle and save your game at the right. Once you are ready, go
north. More scene and time for a boss fight.

Main Attacks: Strike, Punch, Charge, Thunder Breath, Howl
Both characters should at least be at Level 5, so they both have the Free Run
AD Skill. Tear can support and Luke can use Free Run to lure Raiga Queen away
from Tear. For Luke, you can guard, 3 slashes then a tech after. If you are
low on HPs, run away and recover. If Tear is using Nightmare, she could also
put the Raiga Queen to sleep which means free attacks. If you are good with the
Free Run, you can circle around the Raiga Queen to lure her to attack. After,
you can make your attacks and you can do this without losing any HP.
After you depleted enough of her HPs, Jade will come in and help. Repeat the
above with Luke. Since Jade's techs/spells are very powerful, this should end
in a matter of seconds.

Afterward, Jade will join the party for now. Be sure to get the Life Bottle and
Cutlas. Back track and you will get the Technical Ring. With this, Manual Mode
is available. Now, go back to speak with the Cheagle Elder within the tree. You
may back track out the forest.

Speak with Anise and she will join you. Save your game. If you want to move on,
speak with Marko in the same room then select the 2nd choice. But before that,
exit out the room and check the end room before the stairs. Get the Apple Gumi.
If you head up and go outside, you can talk to Jade and Ion. Once you are ready
to advance, go back to the first room and speak with Marko.
You can speak with Ion then just exit out. At the hallway, go toward Jade for
more scene. Jade will get the Necromancer title. After, you'll end up outside.
Take the ladder up. Go to the right room to save.
Moving on, take another ladder up. Continue on to the left. Both Jade and Tear
left the party for now. Luke will end up in a short battle against an Oracle
Knight.
After, don't go north cuz the elevator isn't working. A save point to the right
room and then move on to south. Check the next right room cuz the item box in
there contains your Equipment.
The next left room is a tiny puzzle. Just pull/push the crates to make ways to
a Life Bottle, 1200 Gald and the Capacity Core, Stoyel. After, check the right
room for more scene. Another easy puzzle. Head toward that explosive & an item
box. Be sure to check this item box for a Long Sword. Go on through the hole.
Take the ladders up, and head to the most right room that's near a ladder. More
scenes and Guy will join the party.

the next town.

After, head left to the entrance for more scene. Now, within this area, you can
talk with the citizens. There are also Shops here. Once you are ready, toward
the north house. You will get the World Map. Now exit out the house.
Head into the left house/Inn and rest. You may exit out Saint Bynah now. But,
you can do few events in Saint Bynah:

Sub Event #3 - Sandwich Recipe
To the eastern area. Go in the first house and check the notebook on the floor
for the Sandwich Recipe.
Sub Event #4 - Opening Of The Gumi Shop
Town Link Point: Saint Bynah/Angave + 300, Saint Bynah/Saint Bynah + 500, Saint
Bynah/Cassadonia + 500
To the eastern area. Enter the Shop at the end. Speak with the person to the
left. Select Yes if you got the Basis Of Gumi and Raw Cotton. Check the Search
Points in Western&Eastern Lugunika Plain. I already detailed it out above, so
check that out. There will be a new Shop in the end.
Sub Event #5 - Saint Bynah's Large Tree
Town Link Point: Saint Bynah/Angave + 200, Saint Bynah/Saint Bynah + 300
To the eastern area. Near the end Shop, there is a ladder up. Go up and check.
Sub Event #6 - Learning Shunjinken
Rest at the Inn for Luke to learn Shunjinken.
Sub Event #7 - Noir Fan Club (Part 1/3)
Town Link Point: Saint Bynah/Saint Bynah + 300
To the eastern area. Nearby is a Bulletin Board. Mieu Fire at it. You will get
200 Gald in the end.

Head to the southwest on the OverWorld, till you get to the place with tilted
rock pillars.

Head to the left and use Mieu to burn the roots to get the Apple Gumi. Continue
down for the FoF(Field Of Fonim) tutorial then finish off the battle.
Head to the right for a Spectacles and the middle for a 500 Gald. To move on,
take the lower left path.
Second area, head to the left for an Apple Gumi & continue down to the middle.
You can save your game to the right.
From the save point, go north to get back to the first area for an Iron Mail.
About SE of the save point is 800 Gald. To move on, take the lower right but if
you want to get the Bracelet.
More scene on the way and Tear learns Force Shield. There are boxes around as
well, Orange Gumi at the east, Life Bottle at south and 1600 Gald at northwest.
To exit out this place, head to the southwest.

Before you enter, go right that leads to a Sage. After, enter and walk up a bit
for a Surprise Encount.
After, take the right stairs up. Go down to south to get outside then take the
near path to the left. The enemy will just run off. However, use those statues
to block the path, then re-enter this room and it won't be able to run off. Do
defeat it and you will get the Red Sphere.
After, take the near left path. The south leads to a tiny room with Life Bottle
hidden at a corner. Avoid that enemy and it leads to the Apple Gumi. Go back &
down stairs for a Life Bottle. Now, walk up the stairs and use Mieu Fire at the
blue enemy. Defeat it to get the Blue Sphere. That's all you need, a Red & Blue
makes Purple. If you go up and explore, you can get 1000 Gald, Chain Mail and a
Silk Robe.
Once you're ready, back to the first floor & take the path near the save point.
You can now go through the Purple Door. Continue on and more scene on the way.
Continue to the right.
Continue on and you will get to a save point. Save your game and move on. Check
the left then the right area as you go up, you can get a Tin Staff & 1600 Gald.
Continue on up. More scene and you will get the Music Disk/Fon Disk. Now, head
back up to the top once again. Be sure to save your game on the way.

Yours levels don't need to be high, around Level 9 or 10. Have Luke going after
Arietta. As for other characters, set the Tactics as "Aim For The Enemy That
Uses Spell". That way, they will definitely be assisting you to take Arietta
out first. If you couldn't break her incantation, then prepare to use Free Run
to get away. Spells like Limited, there is a circle on the ground so you just
need to move away from there. If Hresvelgr and Raiga come to you, then just go
around or Guard. If somehow you got knocked away, use Square to Recover. Once
Arietta is out, Hresvelgr & Raiga are pretty easy to take out since they leave
out openings for you to attack. Just Guard, Hit and Away.

After the battle, the game will prompt with a choice. Pick the second choice &
we are going to walk. Now, if you are up for a challenge, back track to the 1st
floor of the Coral Castle. Save your game and check that sword in the middle.

Level 11 or 12 should be enough but it will take a while. Guy is good here due
to his speed. If not, switch him out and use Luke, along with Tear, Jade and
Anise. Luke can have Reppashou and Tear should only have Appears Aqua. All her
other Tech/Spell should be off. An Aqua FoF with Reppashou will create Luke's
Zepparehhyougeki. This is a pretty powerful move. As for Jade, just use Rock
Break and all others should be off. As for Anise, just Limited and all others
should be off as well. As for Tactics, Jade, Anise and Tear should all be at
the back and Luke can be at the front. For the Movement section, set it as
"Use Only Tech/Spell".
Start the battle and the idea is to abuse Free Run. That's why Guy works pretty
well here. Anyway, use Luke to do Free Run and lure Sword Dancer to you while
the other characters are using spells to attack Sword Dancer. Go on to circle
around Sword Dancer and make sure you avoid his attacks as well as getting his
attention all the time. If anyone is low on TPs, use items to recover. Also, do
not get too close cuz Sword Dancer has a spin attack which is hard to avoid if
you are in range. Another good thing about using Guy is his Majinken. If Sword
Dancer just try to ignore you and go after the others, you can do Majinken till
you get his attention back. Jade and Anise will be doing the damage, but Tear
will create the Aqua FoF which you can get Luke to get in the FoF and use the
tech Reppashou to create the tech Zepparehhyougeki. Not only that, if Jade gets
the Fire FoF, his Rock Break can create Eruption which is even more powerful
than Zepparehhyougeki.

Go south a bit for the save point. Ride the cargo after. Next, go up for more
scene with the Onyx Wing. The lower north house leads to various Shops, as well
as the Arena. However, the Arena isn't available yet. The south leads to some
scene with Guy. Upper north house is the Inn.
To move on, take the upper right elevator. Then take another elevator at the
right to go up more. Enter the castle and go up to the audience room. After,
you can exit out the audience room and down the stairs, then to the near right
room. Enter the room at the end. A scene with a maid there.
After, exit out the castle and go left toward the Duke Fabre Mansion. You can
speak with Ramdas here and take the near right door. Go north to speak with a
maid for more scene and if you head out to the garden, you can speak with Pere
few times. Once you are ready, to the reception room to meet Natalia. If you go
take the right door after, a scene with Tear. Anyway, take the left door in the
reception room and head up to the room at the end of the hallway. After more
scene, back to Luke's Room & rest. Get back to the castle for more scene. Luke
gets the Friendship/Goodwill Ambassador title.
Exit out the audience room, and just down the stairs, go to the west room. Go
down for more scene. Exit out the castle afterward. Tear & Guy will join back
the party. Take the elevator down after. Continue on toward another elevator
for more scene. Anise and Jade join back the party as well. Take the elevator
down after. More scene and FonSlot Chamber is now available. You'll get Carmine
Chamber and Moon Selector.
Exit out Miyagi Doujou. To move on, toward the S/SE cargo and you may ride it
to move on. However, there are few things you can do:

With at least 300 Encounts, speak with Miyagi in the Doujou while Guy is the On
Screen character. Guy will get the Sigmund Style Strategist title.

Save your game and move on. More scene and Natalia will join you. To the near
right, there is actually a ladder to go down. Get near the box so it goes down
and we will get it later. Now, take the left ladder for a Spectacles and move
to the most right for an Apple Gumi. Take the right ladder to move on.
Continue to the top, take the lower right to another ladder that leads down. Do
ignore the near entrance and go on down. Now you can move on to get that box
that dropped down earlier. It's a Feather Cloak. Now go back and go in that
entrance.
The near right corner got a ladder to an Orange Gumi. Check the machine near
the platform then ride the lift up. Take the ladder that leads up to a Simitar.
After, take the ladder that leads down. Lower right, a Cobalt Chamber then go
on to north.
Check the drum for more scene. Use Mieu Fire on it to light up the room. Kill
the enemy near the lift. Check the machine near the drum then you can go down
with the lift. Go on to the left a bit till the pipe drops down. You can walk
on the pipe to go down.
Shoot the dripping oil with Mieu Fire. Now, as you can see, you need to go up.
So back track up and go right to a new area. There is a ladder to the right &
a cargo nearby. Check the machine and ride the cargo to move on.
Check that near oil supply machine and turn the wheel to the left. Now, take
the cargo back. Check the right ladder and Mieu Fire that dripping oil. Head
back with the cargo and check that machine. Now, you can go take the lift to
go up and there is an entrance to the right, as well as a ladder that leads to
3000 Gald. Turn the oil supply machine to the right and save your game.
Ignore the lift for now and go take the right entrance. Mieu Fire at a drum at
the left corner. Check the lower left for a ladder & move on for a Life Bottle.
Try to Mieu Fire that dripping oil for more scene. Go on & toward those drums.
Push/Pull that drum to just below that dripping oil. You can try Mieu Fire it,
but it won't work. Go back to the previous area.
Now, take the lift up. Go on to another area. Head to the upper right for the
Panacea Bottle. Go on to the left from here to find 2 ladders at the end. Set
off the ladder that's on the floor. Now back track to the east then go south
to set off another ladder. Go on to the left so the pipe would tilt down. Now
you can get down and Mieu Fire at that dripping oil.
Finally, go back up to the upper left for a save point. Save your game and take
the cargo at the left after you checking out the near machine by the cargo. Go
on and another boss.

No specific Tech/Spell in general, but you might as well have the most powerful
ones. Luke can use normal attacks, then Houshuukyaku and Garenhoushuugaku. You
can also set Carmine Chamber to strengthen them. For Tear, she can still use
the Appears Grand/Aqua/Flame/Gale to create various FoF. For Jade, he is better
off with Spells like Rock Break and Splash, especially with the right FoF. For
Anise, Limited or Sourenryuugashou. For Guy, he can use Majingetsueika and for
Natalia, Piasis Line with Wind FoF to Voltic Line. Pick the 4 you want to use
and be sure to set up some Carmine Chamber. Now for the actual battle, it is
pretty slow and make sure you make use of Free Run. Lure its attention to you
as you run around, so others can attack it in the mean time. Attack when you
see an opening, then run away. If you want to go all out, you can try and you
might just pull off some 30+ Hit combo.

Recommendation: Check Search Point #6 for various Trade Goods. Since the Search
Point #6 is just by the Zao Ruins, you can enter then exit out the Zao Ruins.
Check Search Point #6 again. Repeat till you have large amount for each of the
Trade Goods. You can hold up to 99 for each. At the end, hand over all these
items to Din's Shop. I would suggest you to make some Sword/Spear/Bow. You can
get rather overpowered weapons. However, these weapons can hurt the balance of
the difficulty, so beware of that. If you're wondering, some of the overpowered
weapons are:

- Epee, 470 Atk
- Bastard Sword, 340 Atk
- Trident, 352 Atk, 352 Mag Atk
- Hunter Bow, 505 Atk

Back on the OverWorld, you are in the Eastern Abelia Plain. The next location
is to east which is in the Zao Desert area. So, head toward the desert part and
you would spot an oasis town. Do not go in yet. Check the north of the Desert
Oasis and that's Cassadonia. In Cassadonia, few things you can do:

Sub Event #19 - Arijigoku/Ant Hell's Gift
Check the right of the Armor Shop to the back street, where you met with that
Arijigokunin/Ant Heller from before. If you don't have the Winged Boots, then
you will get it. If you do have the Winged Boots then this Sub Event can't be
activated.
Sub Event #20 - Girl Who Likes To See
Go in Din's Shop and hand over some Trade Goods you got from the Search Points.
Next, you can make a small, medium or big investment, or none at all. After, go
back in Din's Shop to get the result. Anyway, choose the 2nd option to make the
Item Making Request then the investment again. Once you've made at least five
items & checked out at least six Search Points, then Natalia will get the Girl
Who Likes To See title. This title increases the chance of getting Low Value
item at a Search Point by 80%.

C Core Growth Example: Fol Stolle(Anise, Till Level 26)
Go up for more scene. Now just continue along the path down. Grab an Apple Gumi
and go south. The left leads to 2400 Gald. To advance, take the right path.
Moving on, more scene on the way and Mieu will learn Mieu Attack. Well, you can
hold down R2 to select Mieu's Action by pressing Left or Right. Now, back track
and go left. Head toward the rocks & Mieu Attack. Go south for more rocks & do
Mieu Attack for a Breast Guard. Go on to east. There is an Orange Gumi to the
right after some rocks, so Mieu Attack to get rid of the rocks. Save your game
and go on.
Continue on to pick up Panacea Bottle then Mieu Attack for the Fol Stolle. Go
on to the next area. Go left to pick up a Life Bottle & move on to the right
afterward. Go on and Mieu Attack the first pile of rocks. Next, there is more
rocks to the right which leads to a Carmine Chamber.
Continue on and more rocks, then another pile of rocks shortly after. It leads
to a Cobalt Chamber. Advance to south. Go on and save your game. Continue on
and time for a boss fight.

Synch is rather agile but got lesser HPs. Largo got more HPs and can hit pretty
hard but he's slow overall. Let's go after Synch first. For the Tactics, set as
"Aim For The Enemy That Uses Spell". Spread out your Attackers and Mages. Mages
should be at the back as usual. Tear should use Heartless Circle to heal and
her Appears Grand/Aqua/Flame/Gale to create the elemental FoF. For Jade, he can
stick with Splash and Rock Break. For Guy, he can use Majingetsueika. And as
for that Anise, Limited or Sourenryuugashou. As for Natalia, her levels can be
pretty low but if you want to use her, use Storm Edge. I personally using Luke,
so same old normal attacks then Houshuukyaku and Garenhoushuugaku at the end.
Equip some Carmine Chamber if you wish. As you start the battle, Free Run. Lure
Synch away to one side. Circle around Synch & wait for an opening. If Synch is
using a spell, go up and attack. Move away before Synch uses attacks or even an
Ougi. Once Synch is out, time for Largo. He's strong but as said, he's slow. Go
Free Run and circle around him for an opening. Just make sure you move away at
the end since Largo's attacks can reach pretty far plus he can knock you away.
If you want to be cheap, get Tear to keep using Nightmare.

After, head toward the save point. You can use a Wing Bottle to warp back to
the entrance of the dungeon. But, you probably don't have it, unless you made
one already in Din's Shop... Just back track all the way out.

Hint: Synch drops a Glass Chamber that you can set to Luke's Reppashou, Jade's

Using any of those Techs with a Glass Chamber attached will allow you to steal
item from enemy. Be sure to pick one and train well from now on. Those are the
techs I have(and likely the same for you) for now, so there are more.

Mieu Attack the near tree for an Apple Gumi. Move up using Mieu Attack at the

Go on and at the next intersection, Mieu Attack the tree for a Panacea Bottle.
If you go left, it leads to a Gothic Mace. To move on, go on to the right from
the intersection. Continue on and don't across the bridge yet, go under and it
leads to a tree which you can Mieu Attack for 1800 Gald. Cross the bridge and
more scene. Save your game then move on.
Continue down, go left for a Cobalt Chamber after you Mieu Attack the rocks. Go
south after. Another intersection here, you can go SE, S and SW. The south got
a tree which you an Mieu Attack for an Apple Gumi. The SW leads to a tree & if
you Mieu Attack the tree, the box will fall into the house nearby. Back track &
take the SE path.
Go on and another save point. As for the item in the house, you can't get in
from this side. Just go down a bit and head to the right, there is a ladder to
the house then you can get the Steel Arrow. Don't head down to SE yet, explore
around for items: The most west leads to an Orange Gumi; SW got 1 tree by some
rocks and it drops an Apple Gumi and the other rocks hides 1500 Gald. Once you
are ready, to the SE and time for another fight.

Back on the OverWorld, you can now control the Tartaros. Just press and hold

Luke VS Asch, you can win this or lose it. Normal attacks, then Shunjinken and
Tsuugarenhazan at the end. The Ougi Tsuugarenhazan can knock down the enemy at
the end. That means there won't be an opening for Asch. Asch tends to Recover
while he's in air. Free Run and wait for an opening. But, Asch has better speed
so he runs closely behind you. That makes his normal slashes can almost always
hit you. This can be pretty bad if you don't heal. For a good chance to heal,
it is when Asch is chanting for a spell, Free Run and avoid. Asch will pause
after a spell, so you are safe to heal or you can go waste him if your HPs are
high/full. Keep this up and a rather nice fighting scene between the two. The
battle will then resume. He uses Tsuugarenhazan now which is the same one that
you have. Free Run to avoid him all the time and be even more careful. Whenever
you get an opening, heal yourself. As for attacking, it's better that you make
it quick before he counters. Thus, do the normal slashes then Tsuugarenhazan or
do the Shunjinken then the Tsuugarenhazan. Another thing about Asch doing that
Recover in air: If you are by the corner, then as Asch lands, you can quickly
use Shunjinken then Tsuugarenhazan which blows him up again. This can be done
as an endless circle. But, obviously, you would run out of TPs eventually. But
this can be a pretty cheap trick. Take your time and you would beat him at the
end. You get the 1250 EXP and 1200 Gald.

After the battle, Luke will get the Replica Doll title. For now, you will be
controlling Asch instead of Luke. Check the closet to the left of Luke for the
Deck Brush. Go down to 1F.

this area for more scene. Exit out this institute & Guy will leave the party.
Back on the OverWorld, go back to Velkende Port. Get back on the Ship. You are
to go to the Wyon Mirrored Cave which is about west of the Velkende Port. Just
go west to that brown continent and look for an opening/cave. However, DO NOT
go in the Wyon Mirrored Cave yet, there is one more thing to do:

There is going to be Water FoF on the field, so use that. For Asch, he can use
the Reppashou. Natalia can use her support spells, especially Barrier. As for
Jade, stick with Rock Break or Splash. Anise can use Yousoushuugeki. If you got
the accessory Aquamarine, then equip that. Anyway, Free Run as usual, and don't
get too close since Ancyra Pulp can reach pretty far. I use Asch, so the same
old normal attacks, Shunjinken and Tsuugarenhazan at the end. When it gets in
the shell, heal yourselves and take out the 3 Pulp. Once it comes out, resume
the attacking.

Go on to the left for more scene. Knock the near gong with Mieu Attack. Enter
that room. There are 5500 Gald and Lemon Gumi within. Moving on to north. Take
the stairs up. Knock the gong and there is also a Miracle Gumi near.
Go down and enter that room for a Carmine Chamber. Exit out and as you can see,
there is a path to the right or you can go take the southern stairs down. Take
the southern stairs down.
Go around all the way toward NE. You will be by a gong and a lift. Take that
lift up to fight the guard then go back to knock the gong. Take the lift up and
go in that room a Green Ribbon. Go back down with the lift and go left to some
stairs to go down.
There is a door to the left, another one to the right. Do save your game at the
save point to left. Ignore the left door and take the right one after you knock
the near gong. At the hallway, check out the rooms for a Cobalt Chamber, Fol
Balla, Partisan, Silver Cloak, 6500 Gald and Life Bottle.
Back track out and let's deal with the left door. See that moving guard? To the
right of him, there is some fence, see it? Go there so that the guard and you
are separated by the fence. Now, switch to Mieu Fire. Fire him and that will
freeze him. Once you do that, go near him and battle.
After, with his body just by the door, you can go knock the gong. Take the door
to a hallway. Ion and Natalia are in the third left room, so save that for last
and explore the other rooms first. Middle right room gets you a Mix Gumi & the
top right room gets you a Silver Guard and a Liqueur Bottle. The northern room
leads to more areas for the Chivalrous Thief's Music Disk/Fon Disk and another
Carmine Chamber.
Once you are ready, to that third left room. More scene and you will be out of
the church.

to the right end. That way, you can get to the next crate which is the one at
the most east. Push it up one block to fill the hole. Now, head up to north and
push that crate to the right end to fill another hole.
Next, to that east crate(that you pushed to the right end) and get it all the
way to north. Fill in the hole at north with this crate. Go to the NW corner,
push that crate all the way down to the south to fill another hole. From where
you are, go right one block and push the near crate to the right to fill up one
more hole. Get the Pine Gumi and Piyohan. Lastly, you should have 1 more crate.
So just have that to fill the SW hole. That way, you can get to the final item
which is a Reverse Doll. That's it. You will get 5000 Gald.

Time to move on, head to the western area of the town. Head up toward north to
Peony's Mansion. But you can't enter yet. Anyway, head to the lower west house.
Check the drawer for the Fol Alka. Go in for scene with Nefry. Go back to the
Hotel. With Luke alone, back to Nefry.
Afterward, back to the Kethelburg Port. You can now use the Tartaros again.

Sub Event #36 - Warehouse Organizing (Velkende Port)
Town Link Point: Velkende/Cassadonia + 400
To the Velkende Port. Talk to the person to the left and you can arrange more
warehouse: Push the near south crate to the right 1 block. Go up and push the
near north crate up all the way then push it to the right to fill a hole. Next,
push the near crate down 3 blocks, then push it to the right 2 blocks, and push
it up 1 block to fill another hole.
Head to the east and there should be 2 crates. Push the lower one to the right
one block so it can fill another hole. Now you can go down and try to go to the
west. But, you need to push a crate to the left. Just don't push it all the way
to fill another hole. Thus, push it to the left enough so you can go through.
Head to the southwest, push that crate up to fill another hole. Get Apple Gumi.
See the near right crate? Push it to the right one block to fill another hole.
From where you are, push another right crate all the way to the right, and push
it up all the way to fill up another hole. Get the Dark Seal.
Moving on, get the remaining east crate up all the way. At the northeast area
here, get the left crate down 2 blocks. Next, push it to the left all the way.
The last thing is just walk around the place so you can push that crate up to
the Great Pirate Doll. That's it. You get 5000 Gald at the end.
Sub Event #37 - Warehouse Organizing (Sheridan Port)
Town Link Point: Sheridan/Cassadonia + 400
To the Sheridan Port. Speak with person to the left. You can arrange another
warehouse: Push the crate to the west up one block. Push the east crate by the
entrance right one block. Then push the near north one up one block so it can
fill the hole. Get the Apple Gumi. Now, for the west crate, push it to the left
one block so it's by the wall. Now, back to that crate by the entrance. Pull it
to the left one block, pull it up 2 blocks, push it up one block, pull it to
the left one block and push it to the left two blocks. It should fill up a hole
then get the All Divide.
Next, for the west crate by the wall. Pull it to the right 2 blocks. Leave it
there for now. This will be the last crate. For the crate at around the center
and toward east, push it up one block to fill another hole. Head to the upper
left. There is another crate. Push it to the left one block, push it to the
right 1 block, push it to the south so it can fill another hole. Now, back to
that last crate. Pull it up 4 blocks, pull it to the right five blocks, push it
up all the way to fill up another hole. Get the Holy Ring and that's it. You
will get 5000 Gald.

Forest eventually. However, don't enter yet. The Search Point #19 nearby is the

Level 25 or 26 should be enough. This battle isn't all that different from the
last one, so the previous strategy works as well. Guy is still good here due
to his speed. If not, switch him out and use Luke, along with Tear, Jade and
Anise. Tear, Jade and Anise all have high Mag Atk, so I would prefer them. Use
Natalia if her level is high enough. As for Tactics, Jade, Anise and Tear all
should be at the back and Luke can be at the front. For the Movement section,
set it as "Use Only Tech/Spell". As for the Tech/Spell for the characters, Jade
can use Rock Break and only that. Anise can use Negative Gate and only. Rock
Break with Fire FoF creates Eruption and Negative Gate with Fire FoF creates
Crimson Riot. Hence, Tear should use Appears Flame and Heartless Circle. As for
Luke, Houshuukyaku and the Ougi Yousougoushouha. If you want to use Guy, he can
have Majinken and either the Ougi Majingetsueika or Zekkuumajingeki.
Start the battle and the idea is to abuse Free Run. That's why Guy works pretty
well here. Anyway, use Luke to do Free Run and lure Sword Dancer to you while
the other characters are using spells to attack Sword Dancer. Go on to circle
around Sword Dancer and make sure you avoid his attacks as well as getting his
attention all the time. If anyone is low on TPs, use items to recover. Also, do
not get too close cuz Sword Dancer has a spin attack which is hard to avoid if
you are in range. If Sword Dancer just try to ignore you & go after the others,
you can do Majinken(with Luke or Guy) till you get his attention back. Jade and
Anise will be doing the damage, but Tear will create the Fire FoF which it is
for Jade's Rock Break, Anise's Negative Gate, Luke's Houshuukyaku or Guy's
Majinken. If Tear isn't using Appears Flame or Heartless Circle, then Command
her to do so.

Head up for more scene. Second area, beware that you can't be spotted by the
guard or else you will be taken back to the beginning of the area. Ok, let's do
this:
Go left & Mieu Attack a tree near the guard. This will lure the guard to come.
When he turns back, go to the left for a Panacea Bottle. Go back and now, you
can pass this guard if you wish. This is a faster route to exit out the forest.
However, you would miss some items if you do so. Thus, I will show you the path
then back track for the items. Well then, in order to pass this guard at left,
see that when returns to his post, he usually does a turn. There is your chance
to quickly sneak pass him. Just behind this guard, a path to the left but don't
take it yet, go up a bit for a guard that spins around. To his left, there is a
Silver Sword you can get. Now go back and take that left path.
There is a monster running around. Mieu Fire it & follow it since it leads you
to hidden areas with a Battle Guard. Go back and a bit NW of the monster, there
is a save point. North of here is 2 guard. Knock the tree and pass through when
they turn back. Further north is a Sage. A bit right of the Sage, there is one
more monster. Mieu Fire to chase it away. If you go north from the monster, you
will end up in Grand Cokuma. So, don't do that yet unless you don't want the
other items. To the east of the monster, there is a Glass Chamber. Well then,
back track to the previous area with the Silver Sword. About mid east, you can
actually go through to further east for a Spectacles. But beware that there is
a guard that spins around at north. If you pass this guard and go right, there
is a Life Bottle you can get. Back to the previous area with the Spectacles, go
lower right or upper right. You will be in this eastern area. There are 1 guard
and 2 monsters. To the SE, there are a save point and 4800 Gald. At the east,
there is a Life Bottle. The lower monster, you can Mieu Fire to chase it away
easily. But for the guard and the northern monster, you will need to Mieu Fire
at the monster which will also chase away that guard. Near where the guard was,
there are Half Guard and Silver Brace. Go north to another area. There are a
Lemon Gumi and 5500 Gald. You can also exit out to the field. It leads to just
one Search Point, that offers you the All Purpose Knife. After, go back to the
forest. You may now head to Grand Cokuma.

and continue to the west. Go west again to before the Palace. Speak with Frings

east path and go on to east to a Rest Room. You can Rest here if you wish. Just
check the drawer 2 times for a Paraly Charm. Now exit out the Palace.
Now go back to the Inn. Guy will get the Malkuth Nobleman title. When the game
prompts you with a choice, select the 2nd choice to stay here.

From the area before the Palace, go west to the Malkuth Army Base HQ. Go south
and enter the west room to the Strategy Room. Speak with Zezeman. You will get
the Ancient Archives.
Sub Event #41 - Warehouse Organizing (Grand Cokuma)
Town Link Point: Grand Cokuma/Cassadonia + 400
Head to the Bar. At the first floor, you can arrange the warehouse. Well then,
let's do it:
First up, a barrel to the left. Pull it up one block and push it up two blocks.
Get to the northeast, have that barrel to fill the spot to the left of the one
you just pushed down. Get the Lolipop.
You can then cross to the west. See the barrel at near northwest? Push it up
all the way. Get the Lemon Gumi. For the last barrel at southwest, pull it up
about 4 blocks, then you can work your way around to get the Strange Mark then
that's it. You will get 5000 Gald.
Sub Event #42 - Warehouse Organizing (All Clear)

gear. Now go to Kethelburg. Go to the most northern area, go in a snow hut to
the west. Speak with the person there and Guy will finally learn the Ougi
Senkuushoureppa.

Get out to the OverWorld and go back into the Theor Forest. You can get on the
Tartaros to get to Velkende and Kethelburg for Guy's Ougi. Once you are ready,
head to Saint Bynah.
While you are in Velkende, there are 2 items you can't get to earlier when you
were using Asch. See that train model at SE? Mieu Attack the switch which will
change the route of the train. The box will be blown away. You can then get the
6000 Gald. Before the institute, there are crates you can destroy with the Mieu
Attack. You can get a Poison Charm.

<Special: Hiougi>
By now, you should be around Level 30. If not, you should be around there. Give
an extra push so your characters are at Level 30. At Level 30, a character will
learn the AD Skill, Special. This is required to activate a Hiougi. Also, you
will need the AD Skill, OverLimits, which a character learns around Level 15.
To activate that, simply use R2 when the OverLimits Gauge is full.
*** Luke ***
For Luke's Hiougi, Radiant Howl, Luke must be in OverLimits. Use an Ougi or a
FoF Tech, then hold down the Attack button/Circle. This can be done in a combo
as well. For example, with Luke, you can try Normal Attacks -> Houshuukyaku ->
Garenhoushuugaku -> Radiant Howl. Keep in mind that Luke requires his Hair Cut
as well which should already happened at this point of the game.
If you are on your 2nd playthrough or on, you can use Luke's 2nd Hiougi, Lost
Fon Drive. Luke needs to have his Hair Cut and you also need to equip the
Lorelei's Sword(near the end of the game). Make sure Luke's HP is red, so that
is 15% or less. Have Luke in OverLimits, then press Circle, X and Square at the
same time. You can use this Hiougi once per battle. BTW, Lost Fon Drive will
also require 50 TP.
*** Asch ***
When Asch is within the party, Asch can also use his Hiougi, Kougameishouzan.
Asch must be in OverLimits. Use an Ougi or a FoF Tech, then hold down the
Attack button/Circle. This can be done in a combo as well. For example, with
Asch, you can try Normal Attacks -> Houshuukyaku -> Garenhoushuugaku ->
Kougameishouzan.
*** Anise ***
For Anise's Hiougi, Satsugekibukouken, Anise must be in OverLimits. Use an Ougi
or a FoF Tech, then hold down the Attack button/Circle. This can be done in a
combo as well. For example, with Anise, you can try Normal Attacks -> Ryuueida
-> Souryuurettouda -> Satsugekibukouken.
If you are on your 2nd playthrough or on, you can also use Anise's 2nd Hiougi
at this point. For Anise's 2nd Hiougi, Izayoitenbu, simple hold down the Attack
button/Circle during Satsugekibukouken. Since Izayoitenbu is more or less an
extension to Satsugekibukouken, you can use it in the above combo as well. You
would have Normal Attacks -> Ryuueida -> Souryuurettouda -> Satsugekibukouken
-> Izayoitenbu. BTW, Izayoitenbu requires 50 TP.
If you are on your 2nd playthrough or on, Anise still got one more Hiougi which
is Fever Time. You will need to use Anise's LuckLuck(Level 55) at least 100
times, have at least 20000 Gald and full HP for Anise. Have Anise in OverLimits
then use LuckLuck. You can use this Hiougi once per battle. BTW, Fever Time
requires 1 TP.
*** Jade ***
For Jade's Hiougi, Mystic Cage, Jade must be in OverLimits. After, simply use a
High Level Spell. However, Jade doesn't have any High Level Spell right now.
If you are on your 2nd playthrough or on, Jade has a 2nd Hiougi, Indignation.
You'll need to use Thunder Blade(Level 48). Have Jade in OverLimits then hold
down R2 for 5 seconds without moving. You can use this Hiougi once per battle.
BTW, Indignation requires 100 TP.
*** Tear ***
For Tear's Hiougi, Innocent Shine, Tear must be in OverLimits then simply use
a High Level Spell or a Music Song. Tear doesn't have any High Level Spell at
this point except for Raise Dead. To use Raise Dead, an ally must be down. But
aside from High Level Spell, you could also try a Music Song like Nightmare,
Force Field or Holy Song.
If you are on your 2nd playthrough or on, Tear has a 2nd Hiougi, Fortune Ark.
Tear will need to learn all her Music Songs: Nightmare(Default), Force Field
(Main Story), Holy Song(Sub Event), Judgement(Sub Event), Resurrection(Level
44) and Grand Cross(Level 58). Not only that, you need to use them all for at
least 50 times. Have Tear in OverLimits then use Judgement. You can use this
Hiougi once per battle. BTW, Fortune Ark requires 100 TP.
*** Guy ***
For Guy's Hiougi, Hououtenshouku, Guy must be in OverLimits. Use an Ougi or a
FoF Tech, then hold down the Attack button/Circle. This can be done in a combo
as well. For example, with Guy, you can try Normal Attacks -> Kogetsusen ->
Majinsouhazan -> Hououtenshouku.
*** Natalia ***
For Natalia's Hiougi, Astral Rain, Natalia must be in OverLimits. Use an Ougi
or a FoF Tech, then hold down the Attack button/Circle. However, Natalia does
not have any Ougi right now unless you did the Sub Event Natalia's Ougi Part
1/2 previously. That gets her the Ougi Brave Feed. This can be done in a combo
as well. For example, with Natalia, you can try Normal Attacks -> Aerial Laser

should have good Fire based Techs/Spells. You also have a time limit here, 12
minutes. Your team will take the most time because there is a boss. Paths for
both teams aren't confusing, so there shouldn't be much problem. Don't worry
about the items since you can revisit this area unless you have already been
here and got the items. As for the enemies, run away.
Anyway, for Luke's team, head toward the west and you will face a boss.

Luke, Houshuukyaku with Fire FoF makes Gurenshuugeki; For Anise, Ryuueida with
Fire FoF will get you Karyuushouha and Negative Gate creates Crimson Riot; As
for Guy, Majinken with Fire FoF makes Maouengekiha; For Natalia, Storm Edge can
make Blast Edge with a Fire FoF and Sharpness can create Blaze Emitter; If you
still prefer Jade, then Tenshoutsuigasou can turn to Tsuigabakuensou, Rock
Break can turn into Eruption and Turbulence can turn to Flare Tornado. All of
these are rather nice Tech/Spell. Also, don't forget that you can also perform
Hiougi when your OverLimits Gauge is full. Anyway, you can have 2 at the back
to do spells, then you can lure the Blade Rex. Free Run and get to its back to
make the attacks. With help from others, then combo with Luke, plus a Hiougi at
the end, you can get up to 40+ Hit combo. If you're good enough, 2 to 5 minutes
is really all you need.

After, for the side team, head toward the NE and go south a bit so that team
will be around the north of the main team. At the end, more scene and you will
get the Floating Mechanism. You will also be back to Sheridan.

Go left and right for Pine Gum and Lemon Gumi, as well as red crystals. For the
red crystals, use Mieu Fire to make them disappear. Once you got rid of all 3,
the entrance will show up. Go in and to north then save your game.
Take the left path first. Get the Green Foneme and Mieu Fire for Red Foneme. Go
on for Cure Bottle and an enemy with the Blue Foneme. Defeat that enemy for the
Blue Foneme. Go on to the end to check the light circle. Put in Red, Green and
Blue Foneme. Take the new path after. Mieu Attack to destroy it.
Next, you can take the right path. Get the Light Plate and the Blue Foneme from
an enemy. There are two paths here: Take the right one to get the Red Foneme &
12000 Gald; After, take the upper right path. Next area, get the Green Foneme
and a Diney Bottle. There are also two paths here: Go left to get the Yellow
Foneme and Meji Silt; After, take the right path. Take the stairs up from the
right. Adjust the 2 altars so the light beams down to the right position. Head
down to the light circle. Put in Red, Yellow, Blue and Green. Take the new path
and Mieu Attack again.
Now, the central path is available. Get the Blue and Yellow Foneme, as well as
a Panacea Bottle. There are 3 paths here: Take the left path to get the Green
Foneme and the 1st Red Foneme, as well as a Carmine Chamber; Back track and go
right to get the Battle Guard and Specific only; Back track and take the middle
