Tales of the Abyss
This FAQ/Walkthrough is copyright of Alan Quirino (grayfox2510 (at) gmail
(dot) com).
Ok, so let us go over a few basic things...
1) If you see anything that looks like my guide somewhere else, and you think
it was stolen without my permission, please let me know. Thanks.
2) As of currently, I am not allowing any other sites besides GameFAQs to host
my guides. IGN being a possible exception from time to time, but otherwise,
I'm afraid I must decline your offers under most circumstances. You are,
of course, still free to try. Who knows? Also, under the odds that you are
granted permission, please check regularly the following link for updates.
http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/recognition/8373.html
3) If sending an inquiry about this game, be sure to put, at the very least,
"Tales of the Abyss" in the title, just to help me sort my mail. Otherwise,
it might get lost and you get no answer. Do note however, I have the right
to answer you or not. That is, obvious questions or information you could
easily reach in here might not be answered (I might be in a very good mood
and still do so though). Also, I know my English isn't perfect but at least
I try when writting this, please do the same when you mail in a question.
My mail is at the top and bottom of this file.
4) Needless to say, this guide is copyrighted according to the DMCA and stuff.
So, please don't steal anything (If you want to use something, a bit of
information or whatever, go ahead, but give proper credit where due).
I'll leave this at that...
5) Mails thanking me for the help and whatnot are always appreciated. ^^
Feel free to write in English or Spanish, whichever you prefer. ;p

To Do:
-> Tech List. Missing three of Anise's doll artes.
-> Title List, on it.
-> Recipe List, in progress. Missing failed effects.
-> Events. I think I got all, but not sure.
-> Equipment List (Weapons, Body Armor, Arm Armor, Acc., and CC). In progress.
-> Other section. Do the Shop List.
Updates:
- Version 1.01 ~ January 11, 2007 - 447 KBs.
Some slight corrections, small changes, etc. Nothing big, though this is
also the first time I ever use a second decimal when updating a guide. XD
- Version 1.0 ~ December 07, 2006 - 443 KBs.
Well, using the PS2 of a friend I finished the guide. I'll wrap up the
rest of the stuff mising in my next playthrough. I also started the Titles
section (though not complete yet) and also started the Recipe List
section. I think that's about it for this update.
- Version 0.9 ~ November 27, 2006 - 432 KBs.
Walkthrough is almost done. And all that stuff. The guide is on hold
because my stupid PS2 decided to break down after what...? I don't know,
first time it ever dies and it's a NA launch version (Yep, I've had my
PS2 all this time from WAAAY back at the NA launch).
- Version 0.4 ~ November 21, 2006 - 312 KBs.
Walkthrough a bit past the Absorption Gate. Event-loaded time, bear with
me. Updated all the other things as usual.
- Version 0.3 ~ November 19, 2006 - 264 KBs.
Updated walkthrough, item sections, events, etc...
Completely finished the AD Skills list.
I also just noticed I had written 2005 in the two below updates...
- Version 0.2 ~ November 17, 2006 - 220 KBs.
Updated the walkthrough, item sections, events, etc.
- Version 0.1 ~ November 14, 2006 - 170 KBs.
Blah blah. Started it all, blah blah. Got walkthrough all the way to the
Abandoned Factory.
Forewords:
None I can think of.

Taken directly from the manual.
Fonons - essential components of all matter on planet Audrant. Ages
ago, a new type of fonon was discovered-- the Seventh Fonon. Its dis-
covery threw humanity into chaos, for if one could use the Seventh
Fonon, one could learn the future. Wars over the Seventh Fonon raged
across the lands, ending only when the miasma - a poison from within
the planet - covered the entire world. This is when Yulia appeared.
A fonist skilled in prophecy, Yulia saw thousands of years into the future
and foresaw a way to seal away the miasma. With the guidance of her
prophecies, humanity sealed the miasma deep within the planet.
Over two thousand years passed.
The world is ruled by Yulia's prophecy, known as the Score. People
believe in the coming "unprecedented prosperity" promised in the Score,
never straying from the path set forth in the Score which will lead them
to that prosperity. They look to the Score as revealed by the Order of
Lorelei, the religion Yulia founded, and hold that the greatest virtue is
to follow the Score faithfully.
Yulia's Score tells of a young man who is necessary in order to bring
"unprecedented prosperity." His name is Luke fon Fabre. An heir to the
throne of the Kingdom of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear, he was kidnapped as a
child by the kingdom's enemy, the Malkuth Empire. Since his return he
has been confined to his family's manor for his own safety. He has no
idea of the evil that now draws close.

Again, from the manual.
Luke fon Fabre
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Luke is the only son of a Duke of the Kindgom of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear. He lost
all memory of his childhood due to the shock of being kidnapped. Since his
return he has been a prisoner in his own palace, but his family's wealth has
kept him in comfort, leaving him spoiled and naïve. His only hobby is
practicing with his sword, and, though he lacks refinement, he does posses
some skill.
Age: 17
Class: Swordsman
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 150 lbs
Tear Grants
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Tear is a Seventh Fonist in the military wing of the Order of Lorelei, the
religion overseeing the Score. She lost both parents when she was still an
infant, and has been raised as a warrior ever since. She is staid and silent,
giving her a cold air, but she has a secret weak spot for cute things. A
certain incident leads to her joining with Luke on his adventure.
Age: 16
Class: Melodist
Height: 5'4"
Weight: 110 lbs
Mieu
ŻŻŻŻ
Mieu is a young cheagle. Cheagles, considered holy by the Order of Lorelei,
normally live in herds in the forest, but fate will bring him to join Luke
and the others on their adventure. The Sorcerer's Ring that he wears around
his tummy allows him to use human speech, and he can use the ring's fonic
power to breathe fire.
Jade Curtiss
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Jade is a colonel in the Malkuth Empire's military. He is both a skilled
fonist and a master of the spear. He always smiles, so no one knowns what he
is truly thinking. He is known to be the right-hand man to the Malkuth
Emperor, Peony, but he is also known among those in the military as
"Jade the Necromancer."
Age: 35
Class: Fonist
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 163 lbs
Anise Tatlin
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Always cheerful and happy, Anise is a Fon Master Guardian, charged with
personally protecting Fon Master Ion, the leader of the Order of Lorelei.
The stuffed doll, Tokunaga, that she keeps strapped to her back can grow to
gargantuan size, and she fights while riding on its back. She hopes to marry
rich, and ever since meeting Luke she has been plotting to become his future
duchess.
Age: 13
Class: Puppet Master
Height: 5'0"
Weight: 93 lbs
Guy Cecil
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Guy is a servant in the Fabre household. He was first taken on as a
babysitter, and ever since then, Guy has been like both a brother and a
parent to the palace-bound Luke. He is uncomfortable around women, so his
kind words to them often lead to awkward situations.
Age: 21
Class: Swordsman
Height: 6'
Weight: 174 lbs
Natalia Luzu Kimlasca Lanvaldear (AKA Natalia L.K. Lanvaldear)
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Natalia is the princess of the Kindom of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear. She is haughty
and arrogant, but at the same time, as a member of the royal family she is
concerned for her subjects and for her country. She is proficient with a bow,
and difficult situations bring out the true strength of her will. Natalia is
engaged to Luke, and their life-long friendship allows her to freely
criticize him for his lapses in judgment.
Age: 18
Class: Archer
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 117 lbs

same element is cast on top of it not too long after. Once a FOF is full
(denoted by the circle being completely colored in the element), it can be
used to make FOF Change Artes.
An FOF Change Arte is a normal Arte 'altered' by the FOF to produce a new Arte.
These Artes can't be used anytime, and depend on the FOF to be used.
For a far better explanation, and actual practice, please keep playing the
game. Jade will demonstrate the basics eventually.

[023]------------------02.03. AD Skills & Capacity Cores-----------------------
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
AD Skills are 'Additional Skills' that can allow a variety of maneuvers and
special abilities in battle. Reminiscent of the EX Skills from ToS in a way.
They are acquired by gaining levels or growing with a Capacity Core (for a list
of all AD Skills, look at section 05. AD Skills List).
If you want to turn on/off a skill, simply move the cursor to it and press the
Square button.
Capacity Cores are like level-up bonuses in a way. Not only do they raise your
overall stats every level up depending on the Capacity Core you currently have
equipped.
Simply enter the C.Core menu from the Battle sub-section to watch the current
total bonuses your character has, the C.Core equipped to him/her and the
list of C.Cores you have.
To change a C.Core, simply hit X when viewing a character to access the C.Core
list and select a new one.
Refer to the AD Skills List to see how much of a certain parameter you need.
Also, refer to the Equipment section under Capacity Cores to get a list of all
the C.Cores you can get and where.

[024]-----------------------02.04. Fonslot Chamber-----------------------------
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
The Fonslot chamber is a special item that you will obtain during your
adventure. You can attach them to Artes to agument the Arte's effect, such
as increasing damage dealth to an enemy, decreasing the recovery time after
an arte is used, etc. These special effects will occur during battles with
some given probability, and when they do "FSC Effect" will be displayed. There
are four types of Fonslot Chambers: Carmine, Cobalt, Grass, and Sunlight, and
each has a different effect on your Artes.
Growth Gauge and FSC Effect Triggers
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
When you use an arte that has a Fonslot Chamber set, its growth gauge will
increase. The higher the level of the gauge, the greated the probability that
it will trigger a special effect when the Arte is used. When the gauge reaches
the right-most dot, the special effect will always trigger. Note that special
effects will only occur when the Fonslot Chamber is equipped. Also note that
if you unequip a Fonslot Chaber when its gauge is part way between dots, its
growth will shrink back to the previous dot.
However, the level of an Arte with a specific Fonslot Chamber will be saved.
You need 20 uses to go from one level to the next, and the odds of the FSC
Effect firing off depend on the uses you could say.
Lv1 00% -> 19%
Lv2 20% -> 39%
Lv3 40% -> 59%
Lv4 60% -> 79%
Lv5 80% -> 99%
Lv6 100%
Here's a list of all possible effects from each chamber.

[026]-----------------------02.06. Town Link System----------------------------
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
There's a new feature in Tales of the Abyss. The Town Link System.
This is basically the attempt of Namco of creating a virtual economy so to
speak inside the game.
Meaning, certain events will raise the growth value of a city, decreasing
prices and overall allowing you to obtain better items.
Also, some prices will only decrease with the course of the game.
An interesting concept, but somewhat weak if you ask me.
Town Link variations come in the form of points, hereafter known as TLP during
the Events section. Maybe later I'll get the exact point modifications.

[003]---------------------------03. Walkthrough--------------------------------
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Ok, area changes will be denoted as
-[Synopsis Title]-[Area]-
So you can search with Synopsis Titles if you wish. I might nail some wrong
however, but bear with me... Do note NOT all Synopsis titles are used, since
some are only used in small scenes which I have no need to separate, since I
only use labels when changing places.
<WALKTHROGH BEGIN>
-[It Started with a Song]-[Fabre Manor]-
Well, first we get the intro video and then we actually switch to Luke in his
manor, looking outside the window.
Wait for him to get his bearings and then get used to the controls or
something before you head outside. Well, weird sound thingy then we go outside.
Head down to the center of the court and then right, enter the door there.
Talk to the maid there and she'll say you have a guest. So head down and
talk to Ramdas, the guy in brown by the window. He says Master Van is coming
and for you to go wait in your room, so head back. You should get your first
Skit here. None of them are voiced by the way, and there's lots of them.
More weird sounds, only this time accompanied by a voice too. Guy will then
show up.
Do note that if this is not your first playthrough and you transferred your
titles through the GRADE shop, wear any costume title to add a few lines of
dialogue where Guy wonders what the heck Luke did with his hair.
Anyway, scenes. We gotta go to the Drawing Room now. Go out to the
courtyard and left this time into the door, then head down. After the scene
here, you should get another skit. This is the last I will point out by the
way.
So yeah, head out to the courtyard. Battle tutorial. Just follow Van's
instructions and you should be fine for the most part. After that's done, Tear
will show up and hell breaks loose. Guy falls asleep, Tear tries to attack
Van but Luke sort of attacks her and both him and Tear cause this weird
portal-like thingy and are whisked away.
-[Nighttime in the Valley]-[Tataroo Valley]-
Well, you got Tear now. She can heal you by the way. Head down and you will
go into your first real battle. It's not too hard, simply smack the enemy
around with your sword and chain your hits with your Fang Blade.
Anyway, simply follow the only path down. Follow the river down and take the
left path. You should find an Apple Gel and an Orange Gel in the chests here.
Go back and keep heading down.
In the next screen you will get a tutorial on changing targets while in battle.
Once you are done, head down a bit and you should be able to spot the
treasure chest there. Find a way through the foliage to get a Cape. Equip it
whoever you wish for some extra defense. Then, head back up a bit and cross
the river to the right and follow the path for two chests, one with 300 Gald
and the other with a Life Bottle.
Go back and take the left path from where we came down and follow it to the
exit. Well, an event more like it. After it's done, go up to get the
400 Gald and save if you wish. Then go down and talk to the guy, go ahead
and accept.
Watch the battle going outside and then you'll be given the option to get
out or keep going with the coach to Engeve. Up to you if you want to fight
or not. If you walk, you'll get the tutorial on cooking along the way, I don't
know what happens if you say otherwise.
-[The Grocers' Hamlet, Engeve]-[Engeve]-
Well, if you took the coach, you land on the West entrance. If not, I suggest
you take the west entrance to town anyway.
Spaghetti Recipe
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Whatever the case might be, head to the west side of town and walk up to the
left-most house and Luke will mention something smells good. You can get a
more thorough explanation on cooking here before you head in. Talk to the
lady there and she'll ask you to go get some Miso. Accept her request and
then head out and right to the house with the watermill. Talk to the old
lady inside to get some Miso then go back to learn the Pasta recipe.
So, head outside the house and go right this time past the bridge where a
scene will trigger outside the inn. Go around the inn and where the merchants
are. Watch the event to learn how to use shops, in a way. Go back to the inn
(where the bunch of people is) and well...
Luke will be sort of branded for thievery and you will meet Jade and Ion
eventually. Once you are out, head back to the Inn and you'll meet Anise there.
"Kind of out of it?" (C) Anise Tatlin. I love how that sounds.
After she's gone, rest at the inn or buy some stuff if you need to.
Once you're rested, save if you wish and head outside.
Collector's Book
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go and talk to the man whom you almost stole an apple from and he'll ask you
to retrieve a box from the Cheagle Woods. We are going there, so what the
heck. Besides, it raises Engeve's TLP.
Anyway, leave town and head North to find the Cheagle Woods. Just look for a
large tree around the forest north of town.
-[Sacred Cheagles]-[Cheagle Woods]-
Once inside you will find Ion surrounded by three wolves, but he will easily
dispatch them with a Daathic Fonic Arte. Tear will receive the title of
Van's Sister here. As Luke starts to question her, a Cheagle will appear.
Anyway, first of, let's look for that box for the Collector's Book. Hug the
left from where we start and you will find a treasure chest with the Secret
Box inside. Head back down and then right and stick to the lower edge until
you see a path going down, leading to a chest with an Apple Gel.
Grab it and head back to where we went down. The exit we are looking for is on
northwest of this area, so head there.
Next screen, more events. Head to the left on the fork and to the next screen.
You see another Cheagle here. Follow the path to the entrance on the large
tree to find some food on the floor, examine it then go inside. Mieu will join
you now. Before we go out, head up the slope you see here. Ignore the first
exit and keep climbing up, then go out to find 200 Gald in the box there.
Go down and leave the tree.
You will gain access to Mieu's fire breathing abilities now. Go right and
around the tree and take the exit there to find a chest with an Orange
Gel and 500 Gald. Go back to the tree and leave south.
Head to the right and Luke will make Mieu burn the tree to make a path. Well,
sort of, you still have to do it in the end. Follow the path to the next
screen. Capacity Core time! Refer to the section above for more info on that.
Head right and up (no sense in going right, you can't do anything there yet)
and burn this next tree down.
Before you enter the Liger's Lair, go left for a Magic Lens. Now you can enter.
Travel down the roots and on the right side, before you head left and down,
look for a chest trapped in a bunch of roots. Burn it with Mieu Fire and go
down. Grab the Orange Gel to your left and then go right. Take the Life
Bottle and heal up using the healing memory circle, save, then go up.
BOSS BATTLE: QUEEN LIGER
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
HP : 10,200
Physical Attack : 76
Physical Defense: 83
Magical Attack : 72
Magical Defense : 80
Weakness : None
Resist : Earth, Wind
Rewards: Life Bottle, Sage.
EXP: 175.
Gald: 1000.
Yes, she has 10,200 HP. No, you don't need to wear it all down.
After you take anywhere from half to one fourth, Jade (in semi super God
mode) will appear and kick the Liger Queen around the battlefield.
Otherwise, just be sure to defend before attacking your three times and
using Fang Blade or Havoc Strike, your choice.
Once that's done with, grab the treasure chests here for a Life Bottle and
a Cutlass. Go back down to get the Technical Ring and then save, for the heck
of it. Then, make your way out. Now, we gotta go tell the Cheagle Elder, but I
suggest you detour back to the first area and take a path to the right we've
ignored for now to get the S Flag, then go to the Elder. Now, go ahead and try
leaving the place. And we are taken hostages...
-[The Tartarus]-[Tartarus]-
Interrogation time! So, seems Jade and Anise are trying to prevent war and
are requesting Luke and Tear's help. Talk to Anise and she will join you.
So yeah, look around if you wish, but go out, then enter the second door on
the left as you go up, in other words, the one closest to the stairs and get
the Apple Gel.
Head up to the deck if you want to talk to Jade and Ion, but return to the
guard in the room we started and agree to help. Man I love Jade and his
remarks...
Anyway, head out to the hallway and approach Jade for a scene to unfold.
Seems the Tartarus is under attack. Then, as Luke is trying to make a run for
it, this large guy shows up and hurls Luke back before Jade tosses a Fonic
Arte which is bounced back and almost kills Luke, who ends pinned up against
the wall by the giant guy. Jade will receive the title of 'Necromancer' here.
Jade then introduces Largo, the giant guy, in his own way to the party. So,
Largo tosses this box, a Fon Slot Seal, to Jade, making his stats leave
Super-God mode (so yeah, he drops to your level now) and then the two of them
duke it out.
You end up on deck, where there are enemies around. Climb up the stairs and go
inside the door there if you want to save. Fight the enemies around here then
climb the next ladder and follow the path.
Once you reach the door, Tear will put the guards to sleep and her and Jade
will go inside while Luke stays outside. Foolish as he is, he ends up waking
up a guard and goes into a one-on-one. Simply try attacking the soldier to
watch the next scene where Luke accidentally strikes him down and goes into
some sort of shock.
Jade and Tear will come out and wonder what the heck just happened before this
red-haired guy comes and kicks your asses in one fell swoop.
You'll wake up in a holding cell, after a small conversation on how Luke will
fight but not want to kill (Wait, what?) humans, Jade tosses this shiny little
thing to the bars and they go poof. Then he performs an emergency shutdown
to screw with the enemy.
From where we gain control, enter the door immediately to the right for a
healing save point, then exit and head down to the next door on the right.
You should find your weapons inside. Exit and head down to the left door.
Go inside to find yourself in a small crate puzzle.
I think it's easy enough to handle without directions, and you can find 1200
Gald in one, Styl (A Capacity Core) in another, and a Life Bottle in the last
one. Go out and head up the stairs. Jade won't let you, saying there's
something 'fun' in one of the rooms, so head down south to the last row of
doors and take the right one. Simple enough, move the crates and watch the
scene. Grab the chest first for a Long Sword, which you should equip on Luke
right away, then exit.
Climb up the stairs and head towards the door near the ladder going up (the
room I mentioned that had a save point). Watch. Guy will show up along the
course of the scene and whack Legretta. Every of the enemies go inside and we
are safe outside.
We gotta go to Saint Binah now. But first, make a detour to Engeve to return
the Box thingy for the Collector's Book. You should witness a scene along the
way without doubt. Ah yes, Guy's weird phobia. Fun times, fun scenes...
Fight time!
After the fight, as Luke tries to slay the Soldier, his sword is bounced and
deflected and is about to get retaliated on. Tear jumps in and takes the hit
while Guy finishes the soldier from behind. Luke gets the 'Frightful One'
title.
In the nighttime event, talk to everyone before Mieu and go to sleep.
Now, where were we? Ah yes, Engeve. Go there and get that book. Then head to
St. Binah. Follow the road South-east if you need.
You can't go in yet, since the Oracle soldiers are guarding the entrance, so
we need to find a Coach. You will go and look for the second coach
automatically, being driven by people from Engeve who will agree on helping
you.
-[The Citadel, St. Binah]-[St. Binah]-
Head outside the Inn. A weapon dealer is there, so feel free to upgrade your
gear if you have the Gald. Otherwise, head into the Malkuth Headquarters.
It's the large building across the flower field, the place guarded by
two, well, guards. Events~
You should get the World Map here.
Event time~
St. Binah's Tree
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go to the back of town and up the ladder. Examine the boxes there. Done.
Simple as that. XD
Gel Shop
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go to the medicine shop in the back of the town (near the ladder) and talk
to the guy on the left. He needs a Gel Base and some Cotton.
Gel Base is found south of Rotelro Bridge (The one destroyed by the Dark
Wings) in the Search Point there. Cotton can be found east of the Fubras
River, our soon to be next destination.
Go fetch them and return. I suggest you save before checking each Search
Point by the way. Return to the guy to get one Miracle Gel and he opens
up a shop.
Noir Fanclub - Part 1/3
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Head to the back of the town (well, you might be there already) and look for
a bulletin board near the entrance of the area. Use Mieu Fire until you burn
the poster there. This guy named Ayn will show up and wants you to go pay
his dues in Chesedonia and give you 200 Gald, but we'll get back to that
later...
Sandwich Recipe
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go to the eastern area and to the first house you see. Check the notebook
on the floor.
Anyway, head to the entrance of town where an event will fire up with the
Six-God Generals. Before you leave, do rest at the inn. Then exit.
On a sidenote, Dist is weird.
St. Binah's Training
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go to the inn, again. Yes, sleep after you slept there once more.
Luke will drag Guy out for some sword training. Luke will learn Sonic Thrust.
Now, leave town if you wish. To reach Fubras River, well... Walk west to the
post sign that has directions to Engeve and St. Binah, and head direclty South
from there. You are looking for a large stone-formation-like place near the
river.
-[The Fubras River]-[Fubras River]-
I swear, synopsis titles change with almost every area...
Anyway, head left to see a chest behind some vines. Burn them and loot the
Apple Gel. Head down for another scene. Jade will explain Fields of Fonons
here. After that's done, head straight right for another chest trapped in
vines. Burn them and get the Magic Lens.
Head down, a bit left and then up for another chest with 500 Gald, then keep
going left. Stick to the south to see the zone change.
In the next screen, the river will push you a bit to your right, but nothing
too big. Stick to the left to see the easy-to-spot chest with an Apple Gel,
then take the right path of stones. In the landmass, there's a save point,
feel free to use it, but go up and right through the stone path and change
areas.
You will find an Iron Mail here. Go back down and from the piece of land where
the save point is, go the left and down, into the only rock path that is
actually complete. Head straight down for a Bracelet then go back up.
Take the right path here and keep heading right as far as you can for a chest
with 800 Gald, then go back a bit and take the exit down.
A scene with Arietta will trigger here. Seems she's against you because the
Liger you killed back in the Cheagle Woods was her mother. Fun stuff.
It would almost be fight time, but an earthquake triggers off and then this
miasma (a poison-like gas) starts spewing out.
Tear learns Force Field here to shield her allies from the Miasma. Jade is
about to strike Arietta while she's unconscious but Ion asks Jade to let her
go and well...
Once you recover control, start heading right to find a chest with an Orange
Gel, we just gotta free it first as usual. On the bottom left of this area is
a Life Bottle, and from there, start going north and follow the path. You
should nab 1600 Gald on the way to the exit.
In the world map, simply head South to spot Kaitzur on the horizon. Head
there. You'll go into another event on the way with Jade inquiring about
Tear's Hymns. Enter Kaitzur.
-[The Border Fortress, Kaitzur]-[Kaitzur]-
Head to the Inn if you wish then head down to the check point to find Anise.
Anise goes into cutesy-mode on Luke before Asch drops from out of nowhere and
sends Luke flying away. Just as he is going to strike him down, Van appears
and blocks him. Then flies away and Luke goes into happy mode.
So, go to the Inn to listen to what Van has to say. You learn a bit about the
Fonstones and get a Passport, huzzah.
Leave the inn and go south. Now you can cross. There's an equipment store on
the right area of the south section, but things are kinda expensive at this
point.
Keep going south and exit into the world map. Then start heading south to the
Kaitzur Naval Port.
-[Disaster at the Port]-[Kaitzur Naval Port]-
So, the port's under attack. Bet you didn't see that one coming! ...
Head left down the port and you'll find Arietta, who somehow recovered and got
here before us. Not only that, she wrecked the place AND kidnapped the main
engineer who is now in Choral Castle. And of course, we can't do a thing
without that engineer so I bet you know what we are doing next...
And no, listening to Van is not the correct answer. Yep, we are going to the
Choral Castle. So head out and head east into the tip of the land to find the
place.
-[Searching for Memories]-[Choral Castle]-
Small scene. Once that's done, don't go directly to the entrance. Once you
cross the arch by where you start, stick to the right to find a broken wall.
Go through and follow the path for a Sage, then you can go inside. Another
event here will introduce you to Surprise Encounters.
Basically, if an enemy gets you from behind, instead of white glass shattering,
it will be red colored and your whole party will get mixed up EXCEPT for the
character on the first slot (I have no idea what happens when you are playing
with multiple players on Manual).
So yeah, once that's taken care of... Head to the door by the save point and
examine the door with the glowing ball of light. I'm not sure if the color is
always purple, but for me, it has been.
Now, there are four ghosts inside the castle; Yellow, Blue, Red, and Green.
You gotta get the two colors that when combined, give you the color in the
door. For me? Red and Blue. Though if this is fixed, then I guess it will be
for you too.
Go out, save if you wish and take the right stairs up and follow the path out.
See the Red Ghost? It will run away as soon as you get close. For now, simply
move the two statues at the bottom to block the path to the staircase and take
the left entrance. We'll leave this ghost for last.
Head down the stairs and grab the Life Bottle. On the floor we entered, head
south to enter a room with the Yellow Ghost. Ignore him if need be and go
outside to grab a chest with an Apple Gel. Now, go back inside.
As you go up, you should see the Blue Ghost, ignore it for now as you keep
taking the stairs. Take the first right entrance you see (NOT from where
we came from) to a balcony with a chest containing 1000 Gald and an enemy.
Go back to the stairs room and go up one more floor and take the left exit
into a balcony outside the castle with a chest containing a Chain Mail. Be sure
to equip it as you go back inside. Keep going up until you zone out.
Go inside the room you see there and ignore the Green Ghost (unless you happen
to need it). You can get a Silk Robe in this room. Now, go back down to the
stairs room.
In order to get the Blue Ghost, approach it VERY slowly and try throwing fire
balls at it with Mieu. If you need to, use L1 and R1 to turn around until you
nail it. Then, as it's frozen, approach it to battle him.
Do note you can only have two orbs with you, so if you get a third, the first
one will be 'overwritten'.
The Red Ghost should be easy. Remember we moved the statues? It can't run away
now, so just tackle it on.
Once you have the two orbs you need, head into the room with the door and
examine it to gain passage.
Follow the path here until you reach this large machine where a scene will
trigger. I love how Guy first looks so calm as he looks down to see Anise's
hands before throwing her away. Anyway... Ignore the stairs going down and
follow the path right. You should see a Liger running away in the next screen,
but not just any Liger. Yep, Arietta's Liger.
In the stairs room, use the Healing save point as you go up and then look for
an exit on the left side for another balcony inside the Castle. Grab the
Shakujo and equip it to Tear or Anise.
Go back to the stairs and look for an exit on the right this time for a chest
with 1600 Gald. Keep going up all the way now.
You'll see Arietta's Liger going up and Luke and Anise will bumrush after it.
Luke will go and get kidnapped. Scene change.
We see Luke strapped in the weird machine before Guy shows up and tries to
strike Sync down. He gets a hold of a weird disc before Sync jumps at him and
then gets kicked away when he's distracted, but keeps the disc. Sync then
runs away after having his mask knocked off. You get the Fonic Disc item here
and now we gotta go back to the roof.
Man, I really hate that kid. Sure, she has pink hair, extra points for that,
but she has a really annoying voice and attitude if you ask me...
BOSS BATTLE: ARIETTA LIGER HRESVELGR
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ ŻŻŻŻŻ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
HP : 3,000 3,700 3,500
Physical Attack : 98 148 135
Physical Defense: 263 228 236
Fonic Attack : 111 101 99
Fonic Defense : 235 167 172
Weakness : None None Fire
Resists : None Wind Water
Rewards: Apple Gel, Savory.
EXP: 760.
Gald: 1300.
First of, take off the Liger. Once that's done, get the bird whatchamacallit
and finally Arietta.
If you don't have Item Thrower here, you might be in a tough spot when you
need to heal some characters and they aren't using requests. Just try to
play it safe. Remember, Free Run is your friend for escaping Fonic Artes.
So yeah. Van will show up and says he'll deal with her. You are given the
choice of walking back or going to Kaitzur Naval Port automatically.
Choose walking, we got some other business to do here.
Sword Dancer - Part 1/3
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go back to the main entrance of the Castle (inside, where the first save
point was). You should see a sword thrust in the ground. Save before you
check it to fight the Sword Dancer. After the battle, this part is done.
BOSS BATTLE: SWORD DANCER
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
HP : 17,000
Physical Attack : 248
Physical Defense: 159
Fonic Attack : 126
Fonic Defense : 135
Rewards: Grass Chamber (Low rate).
EXP: 3800.
Gald: 1000.
He can be rough, but just hang in there. I suggest level 10 or higher at the
very least. Yes, I know he is tough... A good tactic is to have someone lure
it around the battlefield while the rest cast spells on it, but if you want
to go in and fight, be sure to actually defend, otherwise you might find
yourself dead.
Anyway, head back to the Kaitzur Naval Port.
-[A Trip by Ship]-[Kaitzur Naval Port]-
Once you arrive there, it seems the ship is being repaired and Van wants you
to drop in by the Meeting Hall there for a moment. The Meeting Hall is around
the right area of the port, easy to find.
Talk to Van to start the scene. Once you are rested, head to the ship on the
far west and set sail.
-[The Power of Hyperresonance]-[Katsbert Ferry]-
We have Luke going solo right now. Head out and Luke will hear the voice in
his head again. Once you are outside the cabin, a soldier will inform him
Van wishes to speak with him. But before we get to that... Head up the hallway
and up the stiars, then check around the top-right corner for a chest with an
Orange Gel. Keep going up the stairs until you reach the very top for a chest
with an Iron Bracelet. Talk to Jade here for an interesting remark. You'll know
what he means later on.
Head down and take the exit. Talk to everyone if you wish as you make your way
around. After the talk with Tear, Luke will start to get controlled by the
voice and Van will help him calm down, as well as explaining the reason behind
why he was being kept in his mansion.
-[The Center of Trade, Chesedonia]-[Chesedonia]-
Well, we got some events to do here. Go a bit left and enter the first building
you see and talk to the kid, Din, there. This is a strange service, but it can
net you some Capacity Cores later on. I suggest you don't worry too much about
it yet and instead wait until you can fly around the world at your leisure so
you can reach all Search Points for items.
Anyway, exit and head down for a scene with the Dark Wings. There are weapons
and armor shops at the southern side of town, so be sure to check them out.
Now, we have a couple of events to do.
Noir Fanclub - Part 2/3
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
There's a seller around the Inn on the north side of the town, talk to him and
you will mention Ayn's dues which you'll pay at the moment. Except, the dues
are 1000 Gald, not 200... Choose to pay anyway and you will get a Fanzine.
Tear's Pendant - Part 1/2
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Talk to the man by the medicine shop in the north side of the town. He's the
coach that Tear payed for with a jewel but it seems the guy already sold it.
You have to come back later to check.
Chesedonia Items
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
In the south side of town, there are two weapon merchants. Left from the
one sitting on the red carpet, there's a merchant inside one of those brown
booth thingies. Talk to him and he will ask about Baticul's prices for things.
He will give you a choice of Food or Items that he will give to you.
Ant Lion Man - Part 1/5 / Fried Chicken Recipe
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
In the South area of town, go between the Inn and the armor shop to find
this weird guy, the Ant Lion Man. He asks for an Apple Gel, which you should
give to him in order to get the Fried Chicken recipe in return.
And we are done, phew. Now, go to the middle of the town and head left to the
large mansion you see there. Go up and inside. Watch. The laugh of Astor freaks
me out...
Anyway, while we are here in the mansion, go to the northern side and check the
drawer in the left room for the Time Traveling Hero, a doll item for Tokunaga.
(You know, Anise's doll. You can equip them as her accessory)
Leave the mansion and try to head to the southern side. A guard will come and
inform you that the ship is ready and then Sync of the God-General comes at
you before you promptly run like hell to the ship.
-[The Center of Trade, Chesedonia]-[Katsbert Ferry]-
Scene starts by some talking about the documents Guy just got. Clever use of
the value of Phi here if you ask me, cheap, but clever. Then we jump to Isofon
information and, well, just keep watching.
The ship suddenly rocks and a guard comes in saying a number of monsters are
approaching before two Oracle Knights barge in. Battle time!
Once that's done with, head out and up to the deck. This little robot will
then steal a fonstone from a sailor there. Then we begin a bothersome
minigame.
You gotta chase the robot around until you catch it. Thing is, the boat will
rock as you chase it and if you are RUNNING as it rocks, you will stumble.
If you start falling, jam the X button to recover your balance. If you fall
down, you will go into a random encounter. Just run around and when the ship
starts tumbling, quickly press and hold Circle to start walking.
It's not really hard to catch the little robot, it's just bothersome. Anyway,
once you recovery the Fonstone fragment, then the stupid will jump down into
the water... Which isn't very smart if you ask me. You will get Nobile, a
Capacity Core in return. If you fail to catch it, you won't get the C.C.,
so I suggest you reload. You also get a pair of Winged Boots. Now, get to the
far side of the deck and approach the stairs.
Dist will show up, who also has a weird laugh (I mean, if you are going to
laugh maniatically, at least do it well...). He then throws the Kaiser Dist R
on you. For the record, I still love Jade's remarks.
"I don't know any Jades with such poor taste in friends." (C) Jade Curtiss
BOSS BATTLE: KAISER DIST R
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
HP : 19,000
Physical Attack : 182
Physical Defense: 302
Fonic Attack : 139
Fonic Defense : 204
Weakness : Water
Resist : None
Rewards: Orange Gel.
EXP: 800.
Gald: 1500.
Easy battle. Just be sure to guard frequently from its attacks. If he starts
smashing the ground or spin, try to Free Run your way out of harm and resume
the attacking. Use whatever FoFs that show up to your advantage. Alternatively,
use Splash with Jade. You should be near or at level 14 already. If not, level
a bit on the enemies inside the ship so Jade can use that. Just, whatever you
do, bring Jade in. Since its F.DEF is lower than his P.DEF, you can do a bit
more damage with him.
And Dist goes flying away. You will then arrive at Baticul.
-[The Capital of Light, Baticul]-[Baticul]-
Just as you arrive, Goldberg and Cecille will be there to greet you.
Cecille goes away to inform Duke Fabre and we are left to our own.
Follow the only path you have here to reach the airlift. Take it to the
main city. After the scene with the Dark Wings, there's an interesting
event with Guy you can witness here. Go a bit right and down from the center
of the city, as if you were trying to go a screen down and then return up.
That should trigger it. But, moving on...
Take any of the stairs to the north you see and head to the right
until you see an lift-like platform, take it up.
In the next level, head right and up for the next lift. Then, in this third
level head left a bit and then north to the castle. Take the large stairs up.
Watch. After that's done, exit the castle and go left to get to the Duke
Fabre's Manor. The game will take over for you.
Once you regain control, head left into the Drawing Room where Natallia is.
This scene is so much funnier if you can use the "Proud Maid" costume title
with Tear, though you need to transfer Titles in a further playthrough. But I
digress...
After the whole talk, take the left door and go all the way up for the Duke and
Madam Fabre's Chamber, go inside. After the talk, head back to the entrance for
a small scene before going to Luke's chamber and resting.
-[The Goodwill Ambassador]-[Baticul]-
A maid will come in to wake you up. And wow, apparently the Score even has
details about the weather. Bet that one isn't as crappy as the meteorologists
we have... >_>
Erm, sorry, personal rant. Leave the Manor and go to the castle, up to the
Audience Hall we go automatically. Scenes, scenes. Luke will receive the
Ambassador title here.
Leave the Audience Hall and from the save point, take the door on your left
and in the hallway, stick to going as far left as you can to the Prison.
Head down the steps there. Man, Luke is so easy to manipulate, but whatever.
Go back to the entrance and exit.
After the scene, head all the way down the lift and Anise will come to you.
It seems Ion has disappeared and she will join you. When you take the next
lift, Guy will mention that Luke should see the master of a Dojo. You will
learn about Fon Slot Chambers here. You get a Carmine Chamber AND a Moon
Selector special item. Now, before we leave, we got some events to do.
Fried Rice Recipe
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
After the lesson on FSC from Miyagi, go and stay in the inn in Baticul and
Anise will write down the recipe.
Albert Style Books - Part 1/4
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Talk to Ramdas in the entrance hall of the Fabre residence (he has two maids
nearby) and he will mention one of the maids accidently sold four Albert-style
books. He mentions the seller should still be in the port, and that you should
go look for him and give you 20,000 Gald to buy back the books.
Go to Port Baticul to find the merchant, who will sell you the book for those
20,000 Gald. You'll learn Demon Fist.
Contamination Effect - Part 1/4
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
After buying the book, leave the port and return through the airlift. A man
will try to take revenge for something on Jade, but he easily takes care of
the guy. The group will then ask Jade how can he materialize and disappear
his spear like that and he will give a short explanation on the whole
contamination effect.
Sigmund Strategist
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Simply get over 300 encounters in total and after hearing Miyagi's explanation
on Fon Slot Chambers, listen to all of his tutorials for Guy to get this title.
Guy must be the on screen character by the way. You must have all six
characters in your party however.
Sigmund Style - Part 1/7
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Talk to Pere in the Fabre Manor until he mentions Gee at the Desert Oasis.
It requires around 3 talks.
Jewel of Gardios - Part 1/3
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go to the first room of the Fabre Manor and talk to Pere who is standing
there (I believe you need to clear at least the first step of Sigmund Style
beforehand). He will start to explain about the sword there to Luke but Guy
will stop him.
Done? Good. Go to the right side of the lowest level and take the aircar there
to the factory.
-[The Goodwill Ambassador]-[The Abandoned Factory]-
I swear this music comes from Resident Evil (the first one)...
Save if you wish and head right. Guy will start giving a small explanation of
the place before Natalia shows up. Hah! Bet you didn't see that one coming.
Ok, maybe you did, I mean, it was fairly obvious...
"Anybody else think I should rip daddy's little girl a new hole?" (C) Anise.
That's just so damn awesome if you ask me. So yeah, she joins you.
Once you have control, go up the stairs there and get the chest with a Magic
Lens inside. Go back down the stairs and head down (as in towards the camera,
not right) to spot another set of stairs going down. Go towards the chest but
it will fall down. We'll just get back to it later.
Head right all the way and bypass the ladder there to find a chest with an
Apple Gel, then return and go up the two sets of stairs.
Head along the pipes, ignoring the ladder above you as we can't reach it yet.
At the end of the pipes, you should see another ladder. Take it down, along
with the next one and follow the pipes to find a Feather Cloak in the chest
that dropped some moments ago. Backtrack one ladder up and enter the door
there.
A scene will trigger here. Watch and when it's over, there's a ladder on the
bottom left that leads to an Orange Gel. Grab it and then take the ramp up
and activate the switch there. Board the lift up.
Take the ladder up first to find a Scimitar at the end, then go back and down
the two ladders. Follow the pipes and when you reach the intersection, take
the south path first to obtain a Cobalt Chamber, then head up into the platform
after climbing the ladder. Approach the barrel of oil you see there and then
use Mieu to shoot fire at it to light it up. Check the machine next to it.
Go into the door. See the aircar near you? Go south a bit and you should spot
a ladder in the metallic platform where the aircar is, go down it and follow
the path to a chest. The pipe will give away however, pouring oil down before
you can get the Apple Gel. Go back up and return to the previous room.
Take the lift down and walk on the pipe for it to break, giving you access
to the nearby platform. Take the door you see there. Notice the oil dripping?
(Well, the game WILL make you notice it.) Use Mieu's Fire at the right time
for it to light up and light the barrel as well, then return to where the
Aircar is and switch it on before boarding it.
Notice the machine there controlling the flow of oil? Examine it once so that
oil starts flowing to the left, then hop back into the aircar. Look for a
ladder on the far right and then light up the barrel you'll find down there
by timing yourself with the dripping oil. Return to the machine and make it
flow to the right this time.
Go right and activate the machine we see there and use the nearby save point if
you want. Ignore the lift for now and follow the metallic platform. You should
spot yet another ladder going down to a chest with 3000 Gald. Now you can board
the lift up. Follow the path and into the entrance there.
Take the ladder down and go up for the chest with a Panacea Bottle in it. Take
a left near the chest and you should see a ladder pilled up near the save
point, examine it to put it down so you can use it now. Go down and start
pushing the barrel until it's below the dripping oil. Keep heading down once
you push the barrel down for a chest with a Life Bottle, then go back up to the
pipes and take the other left we ignored at first to make loads of oil drop
into the barrel, then go back and light it.
Go back up to the healing save point and use it, then activate the final
machine and board the aircar. Get ready for another boss battle.
BOSS BATTLE: ABADDON
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
HP : 22,000
Physical Attack : 197
Physical Defense: 333
Fonic Attack : 186
Fonic Defense : 271
Weakness : None
Resist : None
Rewards: Lavender.
EXP: 1190.
Gald: 2000.
This is a weird boss. At first, it pretty much spams Negative Gate, but as
you keep damaging, the gooey cover will start to wear off, revealing a giant
spider. Eventually, it will start popping little spiders out of nowhere that
run in straight lines and can hit you. Needless to say, Free Run is the key
here. Jade and Anise are good suggestions because of its lower F.DEF, but
otherwise, Luke and Guy can still do a good job melee'ing.
Head out the exit there for an anime sequence. Luke jumps at Asch trying to
recover Ion, but as they are duking it out, Luke is baffled because Asch looks
exactly like him. Well, everyone else is surprised as well besides Jade.
-[Encounter in the Rain]-[World Map]-
Once you are out, start following your only path in the direction of the
desert. Do note you can reach Chesedonia from here, the location is in your
map. There's something we can do here, though it might be a bit too early...
-[Encounter in the Rain]-[Chesedonia]-
Curious Princess
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
You have to make 5 item requests from Din in order to get this title AND
have checked at least 6 different Search Points. There's a Search Point
nearby that will net you some good items for making WAY better weapons
here, so you can use them for your five trades and make your game easier.
(Especially if you are on Unknown mode...)
Anyway, head to the middle of the desert to find the Oasis.
-[A Calling Voice]-[The Desert Oasis]-
As you enter, Luke will start hearing another voice, only this time it's a
different one. It's Asch actually, who tells you they are in the Zao Ruins.
Talk to the people, who will mention the Ruins are to the east, but we aren't
going there yet, we have an event here.
Sigmund Style - Part 2/7
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go into the Grocery and speak to the old man all the way in the back, Gee.
He will give Guy a Hod Citizen Registry. This concludes part 2.
Rest, buy items, save, and leave the Oasis and head East. You should be able
to spot the ruins quite easily.
-[A Calling Voice]-[Zao Ruins]-
Go up for a scene before you go inside.
Follow the only path down, and in the bottom floor, look for a chest on the
upper right for an Apple Gel. Go south. Keep heading straight south and examine
the floating, brown-ish rock there and Mieu will learn Mieu Attack. Go back up
and take the left path down this time.
In this room there's a path to the right of the boulders that leads to 2400
Gald, pick it up and then go smash the rocks to keep going. On the right side
of the bridge, pay attention for another pile of boulders blocking a chest
with an Orange Gel. Save if you wish.
In the next room, follow the only way opening the chest in the way to obtain
a Panacea Bottle. Go around the curve and up the stairs. A piece of the bridge
above you will fall, blocking your path to the chest containing Stre Forte,
a Capacity Core, but simply use Mieu Attack to smash your way through. Exit
to the right from this screen.
Follow the path north and go left at the fork for a Life Bottle, then take
the right road and follow it. You should be able to find both a Carmine Chamber
and a Cobalt Chamber on your way through.
Follow the only path to the healing save point, use it, and move forward.
More scenes and then get ready.
BOSS BATTLE: SYNC LARGO
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ ŻŻŻŻ ŻŻŻŻŻ
HP : 13,000 17,000
Physical Attack : 210 265
Physical Defense: 222 210
Fonic Attack : 154 161
Fonic Defense : 150 100
Weakness : None None
Resist : None None
Rewards: Grass Chamber, Verbena, Garnet.
EXP: 1600.
Gald: 2400.
Try to take out Sync at first, since he has the lowest HP of the two. As usual,
keep Tear healing and unleash everything you have on Sync. Try using the
Arte Users Strategy Target for better results if you wish, otherwise, it's
the same deal as ever. Largo's attacks are powerful and have a wide reach,
so make sure you are out of range or guard frequently.
With their F.DEF lower, Jade is a good choice here as usual.
Approach the memory circle and you will notice these sparks flying from it,
this means you can use a Wing Bottle to return to the entrance. You get a free
Wing Bottle here, so go ahead and use it if you want. Either way, we are
heading for Chesedonia now.
-[The Curse Slot]-[Chesedonia]-
Head towards the Inn after Luke's headache, and then he will sort of start
being possessed, drawing his sword at Tear before collapsing. Once you regain
control, we got some business to do first...
Ant Lion Man - Part 2/5
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Same as before, go to the Ant Lion Man and give him a Scimitar along with a
Magic Lens. You get an Orange Gel in return. Done. You can buy both items
here in Chesedonia, though it'll be weird for you to lack Magic Lenses...
Go north-east on the north side into the Malkuth Consulate. Go inside the only
door there and follow the corridor. Watch. We then arrive in...
-[Distant Feelings]-[Kaitzur Naval Port]-
This is your last chance to fight the Sword Dancer if you didn't before. If
you don't defeat him this time, you can't fight him later.
Also, we have two other events to take care off before we keep going.
Sigmund Style - Part 3/7
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Head back to Kaitzur, on the north side. Look for a man right outside the
inn and talk to him. Guy will learn Tempest from him.
Noir Fanclub - Part 3/3
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Head ALL the way back to St. Binah and go to the part where we first met Ayn,
where you'll confront him about the money due. He will give you the 800 you
spent on his behalf and let you keep the Fanzine. That's it, honestly.
The Deo Pass is northeast from Kaitzur Naval Port, head there.
-[Distant Feelings]-[Deo Pass]-
See the tree there? Mieu Attack it in order to get an Apple Gel, then smash the
large boulder blocking your path. Follow the path up, if you hit this tree,
you will go into a random encounter with a treant.
Either way, head down for a chest with 1600 Gald covered by a rock. Go back up
and take the right path. Follow the path to the next screen.
Attack the next tree you see for a Panacea Bottle and then go left to get a
Gothic Mace. Return to where we got the Panacea Bottle and take the upper right
path this time. When you reach a triple fork, take the right path under the
bridge and hit the tree for 1800 Gald. Now cross the bridge. Event time.
Save if you wish and continue along. When you reach the split, take the upper
left and break the rock to find a Cobalt Chamber. Take the south-west path
down. In the next screen, head southeast at the split and hit the tree to get
an Apple Gel. Take the south path and in the next screen, slam the tree to make
a box fall in the house below.
Backtrack to the previous screen and take the east path. We can't go into
the house from here, so just save and keep heading down. At the fork, head
west and up into another screen to get an Orange Gel. We just passed a tree
in the previous screen, hit it to get another Apple Gel. On the fork, take
the southeast path twice and then go east and up to find a ladder into the
house so you can grab the Steel Bow. Go back to the triple fork and hit the
rock and go through for another rock guarding 1500 Gald.
Then just follow the gravel path down to find Legretta. After an exchange of
words, we battle.
BOSS BATTLE: LEGRETTA
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
HP : 31,000
Physical Attack : 357
Physical Defense: 319
Fonic Attack : 224
Fonic Defense : 196
Weakness : None
Resist : Light
Rewards: Sephira, Chamomile.
EXP: 2100.
Gald: 2500.
She's fast with her guns, so try not to stay still for too long. Free Run as
usual is your friend. Legretta can cast, so try to stop her if she does. Free
Run away from any spells she manages to pull off of course.
It's very unlikely you can use Mystic Artes just yet, so as usual, keep Jade
in the party for she has a weaker F.DEF. Do be careful of her attacks however,
she has a somewhat high P.ATK.
Leave the Deo Pass and into the world map. You should see Akzeriuth near to
your east.
-[The Horrible State of the Mines]-[Akzeriuth]-
As you start, head right into the house there, and talk to the man inside to
get 3 Apple Gels, 3 Orange Gels, 1 Life Bottle and 1 Panacea Bottle. Head down
the ramp and you can find an Inn along with some stores. Rest and gear up
with whatever you need, then go back a bit to the lift and take it down so you
can enter Tunnel 14. Tear will leave you when you are about to enter it though,
so be sure to put in Natalia if she wasn't in your group for healing.
Stick to the left once inside to get the Panacea Bottle before you move to the
right and stick down so you can exit below to get a pair of Archery Gloves.
Go back in and move forward into the tunnel. Stick to the left to find another
passage with a Steel Circlet in it. Keep moving forward into the next screen.
Follow the path to see the easy-to-spot chest with a Life Bottle inside a
tunnel, fetch it and keep going down. Take the next tunnel you see on your
way down and follow it all the way back to get 5500 Gald and a Carmine Chamber.
Return to the original path and keep going down and you should see yet another
tunnel, take it and go all the way back to find Nocer Forte, a Capacity Core.
Go back to the main track and keep going down. Yes, also go inside the next
tunnel for a Cobalt Chamber then, at the fork, take the right path for a
Halberd. Return and go left.
It gets pretty straight forward here with all the events. Take the north
tunnel when you can and keep watching.
What a way for things to turn out...
-[The Qliphoth]-[Fallen Akzeriuth]-
Save if you want and talk to everyone. Out in the world map, move onboard the
Tartarus to the West and you will eventually trigger a scene. Watch.
When you are back in the world map, head northwest in the direction you are
facing and you should see Yulia City to your left, approach it.
-[The Qliphoth]-[Yulia City]-
Soon as you go in, Asch will fight Luke mano-a-mano (that is to say, since they
won't be fighting with their fists anyway).

Gald: 1200.
Yes, it is possible to win this fight. But you just get the extra EXP and Gald
anyway. Up to you if you want to duke it out. If you do, just lure
Asch around and go around him so he swings to the air and use the opportunity
to hit him while he's distracted. Rinse and repeat. If you try using a Mystic
Arte, he will just counter it with his own.
The end result is the same anyway, Luke receives the title of 'Replica Model'
in the end and, well, keep watching.
You will be controlling Asch instead of Luke for now, but they are essentially
the same. In the top floor of Tear's house, look in the closet to find the
Deck Brush. We got two events here.

In the first floor of Tear's house, check the notebook to learn the recipe.
Yulia City Items - Part 1/3
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Simply go to the far left in Yulia City and talk to the man there. He needs
3 Apple Gels, give them to him.
Go to the main building then and head up the stairs, into the room there. Talk
to Teodoro on the far end. Agree to leaving and you'll be back in the world
map in the outer lands. As a personal suggestion, go to Baticul to buy Rice
from the store there, you need five pieces by the time we regain control with
Luke back in Yulia City.
-[The Eyes in the Mirror]-[World Map]-
Belkend is, well... See the continent where Baticul is? It's on the far west
tip. You actually need to reach Port Belkend first, THEN you can walk to
Belkend itself.
From Port Belkend, simply head south to reach the city of Belkend.
-[The Eyes in the Mirror]-[Belkend]-
We got an event to do here first.
Soba Noodles
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Look for a metal platform that you can go under. It might take some search
but it's there. Then follow the path and open the furnace at the end.
Help the person you see inside and you'll get the recipe in return.
Once that's done with, go west and up the stairs. See the crates up north?
You can use Mieu to smash them, but since Mieu's down in Yulia City...
Simply go inside the Research Lab. Take the only door there, north again, then
east, north again. That should do it. After the scene, Jade will get the
'Father of Fomicry' title. Now, exit the lab and Guy will leave your party.
We gotta go to the Ortion Cavern, but first... Go to Port Sheridan, it's
slightly north and to the west of Port Belkend, on the continent to the left.
Nick, the Blind Archer
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Look for an old man surrounded by three guys on the left side. Save him and
Natalia gets Gallant Barrage.
Now, go to the Ortion Cavern. It's on the same continent, on the south side,
in that weird 'inlet' of the land.
-[Fomicry]-[Ortion Cavern]-
Follow the path, you should be able to fetch a Ruby Wand on the way. Keep
going right for an event before getting the Life Bottle there.
Follow the straight path as you make your way through. You should find a
Grass Chamber in the next screen, and at the next, head south first to get
a Nimble Rapier and then take the north path. Follow the only path for more
scenes.
Be sure to save as you head back, we got a boss battle coming.
BOSS BATTLE: ANCYLOPOLYP Pulp
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ ŻŻŻŻ
HP : 35,000 1,000
Physical Attack : 344 164
Physical Defense: 350 350
Fonic Attack : 283 283
Fonic Defense : 282 282
Weakness : None
Resist : None
Rewards: Aquamarine, Basil.
EXP: 3500 +100 for every Pulp.
Gald: 5000 +100 for every Pulp.
Same tactics as usual. Try to take care of the Pulps every now and then.
When the thing goes into its shell, use the opportunity to heal up or cast
some support spells. It's not that hard of a battle. I would say bring Jade
as usual, but he has to be there anyway...
Head back towards the Tartarus and after another scene, we go back to Luke.
-[Dirtied Hands]-[Yulia City]-
After Luke wakes up, he will automatically go to the flower field were Tear
is. During the talk, an anime-sequence fires up where Luke cuts his hair.
If Luke was wearing a Costume title at this point, a few lines of dialogue
will be added with Tear saying how Luke had to remove his 'wig' first to
actually cut his hair. XD
Go to the main building and up to talk with Teodoro. He will mention the Yulia
Road to go back to the Outer Lands, but, we have stuff to do first.
Yulia City Items - Part 2/3
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Talk to the same man, who now wants 5 Rice. Done. Note this guy will ask for
5 Maces the next time. You can get them in St. Binah, among others, so be sure
to fetch them when you go there.
Character Disc
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go to the backroom in the first floor of Tear's house to gain access to the
Character Disc.
Yulia's Hymns - Part 1/2
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Before you go to talk to Teodoro (well, before you are able to), a person will
tell Tear to stop by her place later. After talking with Teodoro, head down
the stairs and enter the middle entrance and talk to the person for Tear to
learn Holy Song.
Now, in the same room where the Character Disc is, you can get Scild Forte, a
Capacity Core. Go up to Tear's Room and watch. You will get the Principles of
Fonology book here. Go to the main building, save, then go up and take the
right exit. Head up to the Aramis Spring when given the choice.
-[The New Journey's Flavor]-[Aramis Spring]-
Follow the only path and get the Carmine Chamber on the way before entering
the cave. Guy will rejoin you here, getting the 'Friend for Life' title. Take
the south/south-west path to get 6000 Gald along the way and then take a left
to the next screen.
Fight your way to the Silver Mail partially submerged and follow the path,
Mieu Fire-ing the roots as you go. You should find a Panacea Bottle in the
pretty straight-forward path now along with a Nimble Rapier if you head left
at the only fork you'll see here. The other path leads to the exit, where
we'll meet up with Jade once more. Leave the place.
In the World Map, follow the road to the east into the Hill of the Forth Stela.
Simply exit on the other side and go to Daath nearby.
-[The New Journey's Flavor]-[Daath]-
Ok, in the first area we got some shops and stuff. But, with a new town, we
have things to do...
Fonic Music Discs - Part 1/7
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go to the lower-left corner, up the stairs, to get Prelude. A Fonic Disc.
Pizza Recipe
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Look for a small restaurant-like place (near the item shop) for a guy there.
Talk to him and you'll get the recipe.
Hyperresonance Training - Part 1/4
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Simply rest in the inn to start with Luke's Hyperresonance Training.
There's a chest near the zone change, by the Item Shop with Espirit Forte, a
Capacity Core, so don't miss it. Stock up on items, gear up or whatever and go
up a screen.
-[Daath, Headquarters of the Order of Lorelei]-[Daath]-
Approach the stairs and Anise will join you again.
Go all the way up and into the Cathedral. Up into the Chapel, to talk to
Tritheim. You will gain the Permit from him. Now, go back a screen and take the
left exit into the Library.
Sushi Recipe
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Simply examine the book in the table to learn it.
Now, go back out and head into the right door. Take the next door to the right
and follow the path all the way. After the door above a flight of stairs, look
for the one in the corner, take it and follow that path to...
-[Rescue]-[Oracle Headquarters]-
Go to left to watch a scene. Then, using Mieu Attack, hit the gong to lure
the soldier out. Take him out and enter the room, grabbing the 5500 Gald and
Lemon Gel. You can't do anything about the chests up there, so let them be as
you go north.
Go up the stairs and take the Miracle Gel at the end, then hit the gong.
Go down and inside the door to find a Carmine Chamber. Exit and head down the
stairs we just passed to the south.
Follow the path around to the north-east, ignoring the flight of stairs on the
way. You should see a lift and a gong. First of, ride the lift and knock out
the guard before going back down and hitting the gong, otherwise the guard that
comes out will simply go back inside, but if the other guard is down, he will
stay to 'investigate'. Dispose of him and go inside to get a Green Ribbon.
Exit and take back down the lift, then head left and down the stairs. Now,
this next door is a bit tricky, but we'll leave it for later. There's a save
point nearby if you want to use it, but head to the right into the door
after hitting the gong. There are seven rooms here, three on each side.
Bottom Left: Cobalt Chamber.
Middle Left: Balla Forte C.C.
Middle Right: Silver Cloak.
Top Left: Partisan.
Topmost: 6500 Gald and a Life Bottle.
Now, leave this hallway and head to the left. See the guard patrolling by and
the two sections of metallic bars nearby? Well, if you approach the guard
by the stairs, he will come after you and be knocked out in the stairs, and
when you ring the gong, the guard that comes out won't notice him.
So, we gotta freeze him up in the platform using Mieu Fire across one of those
bars before taking him on.
You in? Great. Seven more rooms. Ion and Natalia are in the top left room, so
be sure to leave that one for last.
Middle Right: Melange Gel.
Top Right: Syrup Bottle and Silver Guard.
The topmost door leads to another area that has the Noble Thief, a fonic music
disc, and another Carmine Chamber. Go back to where Ion and Natalia are.
Some scenes and you will be out of the cathedral by the end. One more event
before we leave this place.
Sigmund Style - Part 4/7
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
In the stairs to the cathedral, you must have noticed to little paths to the
sides. Take the right one and speak to the man besides the monument to get
this part done.
Exit Daath and go back to the monument hill. Go to Daath Bay.
Once there, depart. We should head to Rotelro Bridge, however... Head
north-east from your current position to the frozen continent, and land in
Keterburg Bay. Also, this is not optional.Even if you try to go to the Bridge,
the Tartarus will half-break down and need to be repaired, which just so
happens to take us to Keterburg.
-[Rescue]-[Keterburg Bay]-
We got two things to do here. Also, in case you wonder, even if you had
gone to the Rotelro Bridge, you would have wound up here.

Warehouse Mini-Game (Keterburg)
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
On the far right side, you can see a guy outside a building. Talk to him and
he will offer you to do a mini-game of organizing the warehouse.
Here's a mini-map of the place.

- Grab all the treasure: Pineapple Gel, Stun Bracelet and Rebirth Doll.
You also get 5000 Gald.
Now, exit the Bay and head west to Keterburg itself. Be careful with the
enemies here, they can be a bit tough. Heck, you could probably level up a
bit out here.
-[The Silver World, Keterburg]-[Keterburg]-
Few events here.
Grown-up Child
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Simply walk into the Casino for Anise to get this title.
Labyrinth Mansion - Part 1/3
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
On the right side of the town, there's a man standing outside a mansion. He
says he wants to remodel his place but is lacking ideas. After a suggestion,
this is over. Do note, you can do Part 2 already if you have 200,000 Gald on
you to give the man, otherwise, check this place later.
Easygoing Waitress
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go inside the large hotel, and up to the second floor. Go to the right side
into the restaurant and speak to the first person you see to play the waitress
mini game. Keep playing until you clear it for Tear to get her
Skit Player
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
If this is your second playthrough or further, go to the north side of town,
where the kids are playing. Go into the north-east igloo to find the Ant
Lion Man there. You will be able to see all Skits here (which you have seen
anyway).
Now, in the north part of town, Mieu Attack the right snowball throwing
machine to send one flying away. Then take the left exit down and check around
the middle for a chest with a Hourglass. In this same screen, take the
left exit and enter the first house on your left, the Governor's Residence.
Check the drawer on the left to the door to find the C.C. Alca Forte, then go
inside the middle door to talk to Nephry. Once the small talk is done, go to
to the hotel and with Luke alone, return to Nephry.
Now, the Tartarus is working again, so go back to Keterburg Bay. What do you
say we do the other warehouse minigames already?

- Loot the place: Apple Gel, Dark Seal and Great Pirate. You also get 5000
Gald.
-[The Incident in the Forest]-[World Map]-
Now, back to the World Map. The Rotelro Bridge is basically north-east from
the Tataroo Valley, so use your map to get there. Once you are back on land,
start heading north to the Theor Forest.
BUT! Don't go in yet. If you go and leave, Jade will leave your party, and
because we wanna go fight the second Sword Dancer, that isn't good.
So, where's the Sword Dancer? It's basically south-east of the forest itself,
yes, it's a Search Point. Save and get ready!
Sword Dancer - Part 2/3
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
BOSS BATTLE: SWORD DANCER
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
HP : 51,900
Physical Attack : 410
Physical Defense: 289
Fonic Attack : 304
Fonic Defense : 226
Weakness : None.
Resist : Physical.
Rewards: Genius Wand, Treat.
Steal: Grass Chamber (10%~)
EXP: 9800.
Gald: 4000.
It's almost as before. You might want to focus on magical offensive users and
use your character to lure it around if you wish, but up to you. As usual, keep
an open eye for when to run and/or defend, or you might get hurt fast.
Now, enter the Forest.
-[The Incident in the Forest]-[Theor Forest]-
Jade will leave the party for the time being. Suddenly, as they are waiting,
we hear gurgling sounds and some yelling. So, being who we are, we barge
right in into a Metal Gear-like game.
Do note there's a Pineapple Gel hidden on the far top-left in this screen.
In the next one we get the basis behind this pseudo-MGS-like system. You can
use Mieu Attack on the trees to momentarily distract the soldiers, AND, if you
get caught too much, you can just force your way through.
Go to the left and shake the tree there to distract the guard, then run past
him to the left into another screen and grab the Panacea Bottle. Return.
Try to sneak past this guard, or if you fail, it's easier to sneak past him
up. Move fast and up to hide behind a rock. See that rotating guard? To his
left is a Silver Sword, get it and then take the path to the left we just
passed.
See the tiger animal? Mieu Fire it so it runs away into... the wall? Look
closer and there's a path there, take it and zone to the right to find a
Battle Guard.
Now, return to where we Mieu Fire'd the beast and go north, careful of the two
guards. Hit the rock and wait for both guards to come but don't move yet. When
they start returning to their posts, quickly rush past the left guard up the
ramp to find a Sage. Go down the ramp and right then Fire the beast there and
follow it to a Grass Chamber. Take the upper right path and follow it to the
right on the next screen.
Near the zone, there's a spinning guard. First, go right to get a Life Bottle
then return to the guard and time yourself to go through and get the Magic
Lens before taking any of the two paths nearby the chest to the right.
There are two beasts here. The south one is easy, the north one will chase the
guard away, which is like the only way to get rid of him so you can plunder the
Half Guard and Silver Bracelet. On the bottom south-east is a save point along
with 4800 Gald and on the far east, hidden under a tree is a Life Bottle.
Take the north-east exit. There's a Lemon Gel and 5500 Gald in here, then zone
out to the World Map and look inside the Search Point for the All-Purpose
Knife. Now, return to the forest. Remember the screen with the guards, the
Sage and the Grass Chamber? The exit to Grand Chokmah is on the northwest
there. Watch.
-[The Floating Capital, Grand Chokmah]-[Grand Chokmah]-
Go one screen left to the area with the save point, enter the building there.
Go up and talk to Jade.

ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Once Jade joins you back, talk to the bartender in the first floor to get the
recipe.
Leave the bar and head south to the dock and speak with Natalia. Then just keep
going left until you find Frings in front of the castle. Watch. Exit the place
and head right until you get to the inn in the first screen of this place, go
inside and watch. Guy will receive the 'Malkuth Nobleman' title here.
Now, you are given a choice to head directly to St. Binah, decline for now.
We got stuff to do here. Of course, there is the possibility to do this
later if you really don't want to walk later on.

- Push 3 up all the way.
- Pull 4 about four times up and circle the maze.
- Loot the place: Lemon Gel, Lollipop, and Strange Mark. You also get 5000

In you followed my directions and this is the fourth warehouse you organize,
then Anise will get the 'Push & Pull Girl' title.
Sigmund Style - Part 5~7/7
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Well, technically, you can only do part 5 here. Go up one floor on the bar and
speak to the old man in blue there to get the fifth part down. The sixth
person is in Belkend if you want to go there, near a giant fon machine on the
south of the first screen. The last is inside an igloo on the left side in the
north-most area of Keterburg. Guy will learn Soaring Ligth Spear in the end.
Jade's Fonic Artes - Part 1/10
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go left past the castle into the Military Base. Go south, up the stairs and
into the left room. Speak with Sesemann to get the Ancient Scroll. When we
get to St. Binah, be sure to talk with McGovern about the scroll.
Once you are done with this, head back to St. Binah or go get Guy's Soaring
Light Spear if you want, but anyway...
-[Collapsing Citadel]-[St. Binah]-
Go to the Malkuth Base and inside the next room to talk to McGovern.
Exit the base and get ready.
BOSS BATTLE: KAISER DIST RX
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
HP : 40,000
Physical Attack : 492
Physical Defense: 512
Fonic Attack : 222
Fonic Defense : 390
Weakness : Water
Resist : None
Rewards: Magic Mist.
EXP: 7500.
Gald: 8000.
Jade can use Splash here for good measure. If you are over level 30, be sure
to blast the robot with Mystic Artes, otherwise, it's standard routine.
Anise can be brought for some extra support in the attacking with her Fonic
Artes, since this thing's F.DEF is lower, but otherwise, if you stick to
water attacks it should go faster like the one we fought in the Katzbert
Ferry. His attacks, for the most part, tend to go either in front of him,
or straight ahead of him, so Free Run around him whenever you see him pause for
an attack and you should be able to avoid them frequently.
St. Binah will start falling after the fight, but not completely. Guess we
gotta find a way to get to them... Head back to the Tartarus. If you haven't
gotten Light Soaring Spear, be sure to get it now, otherwise, head to Sheridan.
Exit the port and go to Sheridan itself.
-[Collapsing Citadel]-[Sheridan]-
There is a shop up the left ramp by the way. Head a bit north and you should
see this strange yellow switch by some steps, hit it with Mieu to create a
pseudo-shortcut to the Inn. Event time.
Hyperresonance Training - Part 2/4
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go to the inn and rest. Done.
Udon Noodles Recipe
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
In the north-east are of the first screen, right below the inn is a Bar/Item
Shop. Go inside and look on the north-east table for the notebook to learn
this recipe.
Crafting - Part 1/3
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go to the left room inside the weapons/items shop and talk to the man there.
He needs Iron Sand (obtained from Search Point 6), Gold Dust (stolen from
Lesser Pans in the Zao Ruins) and a Rock (dropped by Lesser Pans and the
Stone Spirits, whatever).
You can make an Armor, a Helmet, or a Circlet. You have to alternate between
X and Circle as the smith says so, otherwise you will screw up and get
nothing in return.
Go inside the left room of the inn and check the drawer on the northwest for a
Savory. In the right room, inspect the cage-like thing by the first bed for
3000 Gald. Then go to the north-west area (take the exit directly north from
where we entered town).
See the see-saw on the right? Mieu Attack it until the chest is blown away,
then go back one screen and take the exit to the right of the Inn.
Go to the far left to obtain the Demon's Seal from the chest we just knocked
over here.
Fonic Music Discs - Part 2/7
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go to the house on the north-east area here and inside for a scene. That's it.
Now, go back to where the see-saw is and head north-west to the trio of persons
there. Then go back to the first area and go inside the middle building for
another scene.
You will get the Launcher and sent on your way to the Meggiora Highlands.
Simply leave Sheridan and stick to the moutain as you follow it south and west,
you should find the entrance soon enough. Save before you enter.
-[The City of Craftsmen, Sheridan]-[Meggiora Highlands]-
Ok, we are working under the clock here. Not to mention, you gotta split in two
groups, and Luke's group will be fighting a boss. A boss weak to Fire, so
choose accordingly. I suggest you don't bother too much with random encounters
or chests here as much as getting to the Albiore. It's not that hard and you
probably don't need much help here. Heck, you can even do the whole stick-to-
left and follow it...
Do note, if the time limit is over, Ginji will die and some events will
change, but just save him. Ok?
Time passage stops when you have the menu open, but not during battle by the
way.
BOSS BATTLE: BLADE REX
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
HP : 40,000
Physical Attack : 368
Physical Defense: 573
Fonic Attack : 255
Fonic Defense : 511
Weakness : Fire
Resist : Earth
Rewards: Nebilim, Laurel.
EXP: 5350.
Gald: 9000.
If you have Jade with you, make him use Flame Burst or similar. Attack with
Luke and use Natalia or Tear if you have them for healing and some added
support. Mystic Artes as you can. In Normal or Hard this guy shouldn't
present any trouble and you will have most of your time available. In Unknown
however, this battle seriously becomes timed if you can't keep up with its
stats.
With Guy's team, simply take the right path at the start and somewhat stick
to the right wall, you should be able to find the correct spot without too
much trouble. See the save point on a place you can reach? There are two paths
there, one going down and another going up. Take the one going up and stick to
the left side of it and you should be in the correct place.
When you rescue Ginji, you get the Hover Drive. Go back to Sheridan. To the
north-west area and inside the building there. You'll arrive in St. Binah
automatically.
We can do some events here, but let's save them for later when we can actually
do something with the Albiore.
Go to the main building of Yulia City and talk to Teodoro who is in the
conference hall. Go back and board the Albiore. Now, go to where St. Binah was
and go slightly east and land the Albiore on the other side of the mountain.
Shurrey Hills is on the east/north-east section of the landmass.
-[The Albiore and the Sinking Town]-[Shurrey Hills]-
Take the right path for a Lemon Gel. Now, see that red crystal? Go up the
steps there and aim with Mieu Fire for the crystal to make it go poof.
Take the left path and hit the crystal at the fork. Take the north path and
follow it to a Pineapple Gel along with the last red crystal. Go to the
entrance and inside.
Take the north exit and save your game if you wish. There are three paths (not
counting the one we just came in from) but we can only take the north-west
one right now, so...
See the green ball? They are concentrated Fonons. Touch it to get them. Then
Mieu Fire the red ball of fonons on the right side and take the northwest
exit. There's a Cure Bottle here. Now, see that enemy with the blue ball of
fonons inside it? Defeat it to get the fonons and take the southwest exit.
Head down the floors and to the center of the glowing light with the balls of
colors and use the Red, Green and Blue fonons in that order. Then, in the
path that opens up use Mieu Attack to smash the rock at the end.
With the northeast path open, go there. Take the Blue fonons from the enemy
and nab the chest for the Light Plate. Take the right path. There's 12000 Gald
hiding under the stairs. Get it and go up to grab the Red fonons. Go back and
take the north exit now. Grab the Green fonons and the Dinei Bottle here before
going through the left path to get some Yellow fonons (Yes, I know there was
one in the room with the red ones, doesn't matter) and the C.C. Scild Maggiore.
Return and take the other path.
Go up to the top floor and move the right mirror-thingy three spaces down, and
move the left one three to the right and three down to line the light up with
the score thingy. Go all the way down and use the correct fonons. Same deal as
before, smash the rock with Mieu. There's only one path left.
Get the Blue and Yellow fonons here along with a Panacea Bottle and take the
left path to get some Green and Red fonons, along with a Carmine Chamber.
Return and it's the center path this time to get another set of Red fonons
along with a Hunting Cap hidden behind the score-like thing there. Return to
the previous screen and take the right path this time. Get the Battle Guard
and the Specific before taking the door on the second floor. North exit next.
This is where it gets fun. We have to align the whole thing up. Mieu Attack
the lowest one in counter-clockwise sense and then go to the topmost before
Attacking it twice in any sense to align it correctly. Now go down and use
the Fonons then break the stone.
Back in the passage ring, approach the center at the bottom and watch.
Luke gets the 'Passage Commander' title here. Leave the place and board the
Albiore. Now, move north-east of Yulia City. See that dark spot on your map?
There should be several rays of light shining down nearby that spot, go there
to fly to the Outer Lands. As you move a bit, you will get an anime video.
Next, you gotta split up again, with Jade going to Engeve and Natalia going to
Kaitzur, it's up to your for the rest of the members.
I've seen reports of people that have said they ended up with a character
in both parties and then promptly disappeared from the face of the earth
(playability-wise) after the event, but so far, no cause or remedy has been
determined as far as I know.
-[The Binah War]-[Engeve]-
Go to Rose's house to keep going with the story. We gotta go from Engeve to
Chesedonia. AND, if you want all the possible items you can get, you gotta
avoid every single fight along the world map. So, after the scene in Rose's
house, simply exit the town.
First, head west to the bridge and then further west to the Rotelro Bridge,
then just follow the marked path. Actually, just follow the marked path
the whole way from Engeve... Note you CAN'T save here.
You'll have several events along the way. All the items you can get are
the following: Hourglass, Magical Pouch, Ether Slash, and a Life Bottle.
The Magical Pouch is a key item and you need for an event later on, so I
suggest you reload and retry if you don't get it.
-[The Binah War]-[Kaitzur]-
We switch to Natalia's group now. Watch. Then we gotta do the whole trek from
Kaitzur to Chesedonia... Avoid all enemies if you want all the items in the
end as well. I got into one fight, but I got the next: Rebirth Doll, Efreet,
Specific, and an Apple Gel.
-[A Prelude to Collapse]-[Chesedonia]-
When both parties are together, head down for a scene. Natalia gets the
'False Princess' title here along with Anise's 'Former Attendant'.
Go inside the bar and talk to the guard by the south door for another scene
with the Dark Wings. Refuse to pay and you will get through anyway.
Head down to the marketplace. Buy 5 Maces while you are here, we'll need
them later, of course, if you have the money, also...
Ant Lion Man - Part 3/5
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
He wants a Miracle Gel, Panacea Bottle, and an Apple this time. You get
a Thief's Cape in return.
Now, go and speak with Astor in his mansion. Then head to the south exit
and, oh, it seems we can't go through. Back to Astor it is...
NOW you can leave and Asch will contact you before you can do that, asking,
or more like demanding of you to meet him in the Desert Oasis.
-[A Prelude to Collapse]-[Desert Oasis]-
Simply go to the right side, by the giant fonstone. Now go to the Zao Ruins.
-[A Prelude to Collapse]-[Zao Ruins]-
As a general note, remember how I mentioned an event in Sheridan I couldn't
do? Well, you can get the items here. Iron Sand you get from the Search Point
6 right outside the Zao Ruins. The Rocks you might need are obtained from
the Earth Spirits and the Lesser Pans. Also, you can steal Gold Dust from the
Lesser Pans as well.
Head down to the passage ring and be sure to save.
BOSS BATTLE: TYRANNOPION
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
HP : 48,000
Physical Attack : 381
Physical Defense: 682
Fonic Attack : 304
Fonic Defense : 523
Weakness : None
Resist : None
Rewards: Resist Ring.
EXP: 6750.
Gald: 10000.
I wonder what the designers were thinking when they created this enemy.
"It's a city buried under a desert, it has to be a giant scorpion!"
"But it's an ancient city, we can use a T-Rex. You know, ancient. Get it?"
"I know! How about we mix and match them and make some big joke of an enemy?"
"Sold!"
...But I digress. Same tactics as usual. There's nothing really special about
this guy in all honesty. No weaknesses, no resistances, just go all out on him
and be sure to use your Mystic Artes.
Go inside the passage ring. On your way down, be sure to pilfer the chests
containing a Pineapple Gel first, along with 7650 Gald and a Lemon Gel next.
At the bottom, after the scene, check on your left for a Wing Bottle and feel
free to use it to warp out, another scene.
In the World Map, walk back to Chesedonia. Get ready, we have lots of events
to cover now, but first, take the north exit out and fly a bit on the Albiore
to trigger an event, then we can start...
Tear's Pendant - Part 2/2
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
In Chesedonia, speak with the same coachman by the Inn and then head to Grand
Chokmah, to the shops building. Talk to the guy named Raiz who will sell it
to you for 100,000 Gald. Buy it when you can.
Cecille & Frings - Part 1/5
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
This is kind of a long event...
- Enter Engeve in the Qliphoth, after a scene, go to the inn.
- Go to Kaitzur (South) and go inside the first house on your left.
- Back to Engeve, this time to Rose's house.
- Kaitzur (North) this time, speak to Frings there.
- To the Kaitzur Naval Port, enter the Kimlasca Base there to get Cecille's
Sword to give to Frings.
- Return to Engeve and into Rose's house to get Frings' Letter.
- Kaitzur Naval Port, same place.
- Chesedonia, to Astor's mansion. Get the Memento Ring.
- Kaitzur (North), speak with Frings.
- Kaitzur Naval Port, Kimlasca Base.
Finally, over.
Yulia City Items - Part 3/3
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Same man as usual, who asks for 5 Maces now. They can be bought in Kaitzur of
Chesedonia.
Albert Style Books - Part 2/4
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
There's a man outside Tear's house with the Lightning Blade book. Go to Baticul
and speak with Luke's mother, Susanne, to get the money for this book. Go back
and get the skill.
Fonic Music Discs - Part 3/7
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go to Grand Chokmah. There's a door on the right side of the shops building
(it's hidden out of view) go inside and check the chest for the Purity disc.
Shiba & The Coral Castle Portrait
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Go back to the Aramis Spring and you will find a dog there. Seems this guy
got trapped up there under some roots somehow. Make your way to him and burn
the roots to set him free. You'll get the King's Portrait.
Fonic Music Discs - Part 4/7
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
You need to do the above event first, then go back to Coral Castle.
Go up to where the red ghost was before and take the right path to the
center of the second floor, where the throne is. As Luke puts back the
picture, a path will open, leading to Requiem disc.
Head to Daath now.
-[Diverging from the Score]-[Daath]-
Hyperresonance Training - Part 3/4
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Rest in the inn for this part.
Go up to the Cathedral and take the right door. Approach all those glyphs in
the middle. Take the right door up here. Watch.
Turn tail when given the chance and head out of Daath. Watch.
-[The Baticul Incident]-[Baticul]-
After you end up in Baticul, speak with Natalia and watch.
Go left and down the stairs, then take the left exit again. Go up to where the
King is. Go down all the way in Baticul and take the south exit into the world
map.
The Inista Marsh is basically south of Baticul. Just hug the mountain-side.
-[Through the Marsh]-[Inista Marsh]-
Go inside for a scene. Now, head south from your current position to get a
Talwar. I assume you noted you move slower in here. It is a marsh after all.
Now, bypass the path to the west and head northwest for a Knight Helm.
Go back and take the west path I told you to ignore for the time being.
From here on, there's an enemy called Behemoth that will show up in certain
spots of the marsh. I suggest you run away, as even if you fight it you get
0 EXP and Gald, so...
Back to where we first saw the monster, there are 5600 Gald and a Mystic Rod
to your East. There's 3200 Gald west of the bridge, but the Behemoth appears
there. You can use a Holy Bottle so it won't chase you if you are so determined
to get the cash. Cross the bridge and save otherwise.
Head east from here and youll trigger an event with the Behemoth but no fight
for now. Keep going east to find a Drain Ward and a Knight Guard up the little
ramp there.
Return to the save point, as we can't go through this path unless you rush
through the marsh with the Behemoth chasing you, and trust me, it will end with
you fighting it. From the save point, head north and you should see the next
bridge. As you are about to cross it, another event.
Save your game on the other side if you wish. Now, there's a chest southwest of
you with a Mirage Robe, but the Behemoth is on the way. We'll get to that
later, for now, simply head northwest to the final bridge. You will
automatically battle the Behemoth here to save Anise. Simply run away as you
begin.
Out on the world map? Well, you can go back and fight the Behemoth now, for
EXP and Gald, yes. Up to you. This will also advance you one part in one of
Tear's titles later on.
BOSS BATTLE: BEHEMOTH
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
HP : 90,000
Physical Attack : 822
Physical Defense: 419
Fonic Attack : 560
Fonic Defense : 475
Weakness : None
Resist : None
Rewards: Golden Helm, Red Basil (Can also steal one).
EXP: 19,800.
Gald: 22,000.
It has a lot of HP and physical attack, that's for sure. If you have Natalia,
be sure to make her throw a few barriers, or Tear's Holy Song to raise
your defense. You might want to try luring it around with Free Run or simply
duke it out.
Out in the world map simply head south-west until you arrive at Belkend.
-[The City of Fon Machines, Belkend]-[Belkend]-
Head west into the Fon Research Lab. Watch and enjoy. Head to the Inn now.
Speak to Asch once inside to get the Genesis of the World.
Next morning talk to Jade to keep the game going.
Van & Guy
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Rest at the inn then follow Guy when he says he has to go out.
Return to the Fon Research Lab. Head back to where Van was (north, north,
east, and north). You should find Hencken and Cathy here. Watch.
Go up to Van's office.
Egg Bowl Recipe
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Inside Van's office, you should see the green notebook on the left. Grab
it to get the recipe.
Go back to the first screen of Belkend and into the house on the northwest
corner, the governor's house. As you exit, you will be given the option to go
to Daath instantly, do so.
-[The Forbidden Text's Secret]-[Daath]-
Now, we gotta do some stuff for here first before going to Ion.
Dark Wings Badge
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Exit Daath. On the 4th Monument Hill you will find Asch along with a member
of the Dark Wings. Next, head to Keterburg.
Another scene of Asch with a member of the Dark Wings. While you are here,
take the north path outside of Nephry's Mansion to find Peony's Mansion.
Go inside and check the right drawer for the Empty Girl doll.
Last, head to Grand Chokmah for another event. You will get the badge here.
Also, while you are here, head to the castle, into the north door of the
first floor and check the drawer on your left for the C.C. Stre Maggiore.
Now, go back to Daath. Head up to the cathedral. Watch.
Once Ion joins you again, leave the cathedral and Asch will contact you.
Try to leave Daath and Arietta will show up again. Have I mentioned her voice
and attitude drive me nuts for some reason? Well, anyway, Guy will remember a
bit about his past and we gotta go check up on him in the chapel, so go there.
You will be given the choice to travel instantly to Sheridan, do so.
-[Preparing to Lower the Land]-[Sheridan]-
Dark Wings here. First, a single event.
Crafting - Part 2/3
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Same deal as before, except this time the smith asks for a Copper, Silver,
and Gold Ore. Copper Ore can be obtained in Search Point 6, Silver Ore from
SP 16 and Gold Ore from SP 14. You can craft a Spear, Armor, or a Staff
this time around.
Go by the meeting hall to find Cathy and Tamara out there. Talk to them then
go inside. You'll get the Frequency Counter during the scene. Now, leave and
go to Port Sheridan.
Board the Albiore and head to the continent (or what's left of) where the
Tataroo Valley is. Simply approach it by the beach so you can go into land
and then exit the Albiore and walk to the Valley.
-[The Place Where It All Started]-[Tataroo Valley]-
A scene as you enter. Have I mentioned I still love how Jade acts? XD
Anyway, the chests somehow filled themselves again, so head north and help
yourself to the Purple Ribbon there.
There's a Carmine Chamber in the pseudo-hidden path. We have to take the ramp
up, but before that, cross the river to the right to get a Pineapple Gel along
with 7500 Gald. Go up now.
Take the first path to your left to get a Silk Hat and a Lemon Gel.
Before crossing to the right, be sure to head to the left to the flower field
for a quick scene. Cross to the right.
Quick event.
Mieu Wing
ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ
Stick yourself to the right here and, see that rock on the wall that looks
somewhat out of place, with some vines covering it? Mieu Attack it to smash
it open, then go inside. Go to the far right in this area to obtain Mieu Wing.
I love Jade's comment in the end.
Be sure to try Mieu Wing right here on that switch there to get a Knight Mace.
Go back and use Mieu Wing on the left too. You can get a Life Bottle and a Wing
Bottle here. Now, exit this area and head south-east back in Tataroo Valley.
Go to the next screen for an event where Guy will partially overcome his
phobia.
Mieu Attack the tree for a Panacea Bottle, save, and go up.
Use Mieu Wing on the trees to find a Knight Robe and 6000 Gald. As you are
about to approach the Daathic Seal, a mist comes up hiding a large
