Kyle Dunamis is the son of Stahn Aileron and Rutee Katret. At present, he's just living his life quietly with his family in the village of Cresta. Having renowned heroes as parents, young Kyle believes that he too will one day become a hero. In an adventure with his friend Roni, he awakens a young girl by the name of Reala from a huge piece of Lens. In their first meeting, Reala says that she is searching for her hero. In an attempt to become Reala's hero, Kyle sets out on his journey...

As the first Tales game for the PS2, I expected it to be a little more, well better. I'm not saying it isn't better or anything like that. It's just that, in terms of graphics, they were just too similar to that of ToE's. The only improvement in graphics was about the world map, but other than that, they really were similar to Eternia's. But enough about that. In terms of gameplay, well, it was a bit identical to ToE's aside from the "Spirits Blaster" feature. The encounter rate was so-so. In terms of storyline, I found this game to be the most romantic Tales game I've ever played. And I was happy to see that there were more FMVs given in this game than the past games. Also, this game has one great ending! A must play, that is, if you can get a copy^^.

It's a great game with one of the best endings I've seen. It's really good, if you don't consider the graphics. It loads fast too.
