Which translates to: "When I mentioned being on sale for the Wii, I meant Tales of Graces, and not Tales of Vesperia! I truly apologize to everyone for the misunderstanding!!!!" (09.11.09)
So there we have it, false alarm =\.
(Nov. 6, 2009) Rumors about Tales of Vesperia making its way to the Nintendo Wii have been floating around for a little while now. The source of this is the personal blog of Rikiya Koyama, Duke Pantarei's voice actor. In his recent blog post, this particular paragraph started the rumor:
Which is translated into: "Tales of Vesperia is for the Xbox (360), and then for the PS3, and now, it's coming to the Wii. Right, even a theater anime has been shown to the public (b-but I don't appear in it?), and the drama CDs have also been successively released!! I did a lot of recordings for the Volume 6 drama CD!! This time, I get a lot of turns in it!! Once it's on sale, I'll notify you guys again!!"
A lot of us, including myself, believe that he was just referring to Tales of Graces, seeing as it's the most recent Tales game coming out for the Wii. But throughout the whole paragraph, he was discussing Tales of Vesperia (and its drama CD). You would at least believe that he was referring to Vesperia when he mentioned the Wii. For now, we'll classify this as a rumor... or a misunderstanding.

I think it's just a misunderstanding, but if it isn't... GOOD FOR ME, I guess.

Wow, wow, wait a second here, I understand how people are feeling that they are milking Vesperia for all its worth, but it's not like it's totally outrageous in Namco Tales standards. Destiny got 2 remakes (pardon me, Director's Cut) plus a sequel. Symphonia got remake, sequel plus OAVOVA...whatever it is, Abyss got an anime and plus almost getting their entire cast in with minor games. So here we have Vesperia with a remake and a movie, which looks pretty on par with the rest of the series to me. I don't consider DLC anything special because I bet if it was possible back then with the PS2, those older games would get DLC.
It's just Vesperia's time, that's all. Every game got their time, depending on their popularity. I'll start screaming when they do a live action, TV drama, perfume line and 10 spin-offs.

You make a good point, Hiro and Hime. They are focusing on Vesperia a little too much. A port, a movie, another game, cameo costumes. It's only being rivaled right now by Symphonia. Which, as much as I love Symphonia to death, didn't like. Of course, they didn't release the PS2 port in America. While it appears Vesperia will be released. They are milking Vesperia for all it's worth.

He might mean the second game for Vesperia that they were thinking about...this still sounds weird.

well there's something that dragged my attention.. he said "even a theater movie has been shown", he means the first strike, also speaks about the drama cd's of vesperia obviously, i don't see anywere a space to talk about graces, he might be doing another character for graces? i don't think so, since hes only commenting about vesperia, maybe the costumes? if that were the case, why would he be notified about a cameo costumes of vesperia on graces?, i don't think it would be required, since those cameos would be only costumes, maybe he will appear as a cameo battle, but if that were the case, i think he would have specified about it, since he wrote all the info as if Vesperia would actually be ported to Wii, not as a special cameo on Graces, if it were only a cameo battle, i dont think he would be allowed to release that kind of info, or maybe he did by mistake, but usually when that happens the owners of the blog erase that comment right after all the conmotion, it sounds extremely weird for Vesperia to come to the wii, but to be honest, it wouldnt be any surprise, but it would be indeed a curious move coming from namco bandai releasing vesperia and graces on the Wii...if it happens, let's just wait it won't be like Legendia/abyss case...
maybe this is just a misunderstanding OR THIS MIGHT BE Vesperia sequel that famitsu article was talking about?
but i think it's take quite a long period time to develop a game, so my opiniong is Koyama was mistaken Vesperia with Graces

Like Minna said, it could be about the costumes.
But, I just had an idea. Perhaps Duke is a cameo in Graces? If it were the case, he would have had to go do some voicing for it, hence why he says there's some Vesperia on the Wii. Just a thought I had, don't take it seriously, but it woulld make sense, no? =3

@Hiro and Hime:
Reading that part about the FF7 thing made me cringe. I hope to god that doesn't happen....

@Luna
That's a wonderful point Luna. If they had all the extras, throw them on a second disk. They did that with Tales of Symphonia
